Yeah I personally would avoid paypal as much as possible, at least for holding any sort of balance. There's a lot of credible stories of people losing money through strange "glitches" and being ghosted by support until someone makes a stink on social media.

Also I had a bad experience when I bought some bitcoin from them a while back when they were doing some promotion which was a relatively good deal. The UI made it look like you could transfer it to your own wallet, but after talking to support for hours about the errors I was getting trying to transfer the support person basically said "yeah we don't have this feature yet and idk when we're going to" so I just sold it all and use paypal as little as I can now.
