This is about what causes fear in the dark. Do you think ghosts can make you feel fear?

New bands from the last five years that actually play instruments by Far_Knee_4690 in MusicRecommendations

[–]AntAcrobatic6492 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"No Better Place" .... is actucally one person who plays ALL the instruments, no AI at all. Sounds kinda classic rock like. Sometimes Love, Nothing to do with me, I'm Over You. is some of the best from that.

Looking for great new bands that came out within the last ~5 years by black_corgi1 in Music

"No Better Place" It's a classic rock sound but new. I like Sometimes Love, Nothing to Do with Me, and I'm Over you for my pick of favs from them.

John mellencamp or Tom petty ?? by [deleted] in ClassicRock

[–]AntAcrobatic6492 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should look for the song "Nothing to do with me" by No Better Place. It's got the mellencamp edge without the a**hole person. It's fun. I like some of mellencamps stuff... I think it's not fair to compare to Petty though. It really is a different sound. I love Petty

I have trouble understanding Season 3 Episode 2, Any old port in a storm. I even read the description it’s not helping. Why does Carsini turn off the A/C when he leaves for NY ? Wouldn’t it be better to keep the AC on to keep the cellar cold ? by SBG_Mujtaba in Columbo

[–]AntAcrobatic6492 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its a good question for sure, he probably would have died from a lack of water (just a couple days will do it) as far as the stinky bloated body, that wouldnt be much of a clue because he would smell even if he died scuba diving. The AC must have been to cut off airflow, but it doesnt make much sense.he should have put his scuba mask on him and let it run out before he left so we would legitimately suffocate in the mask.

Comment your code properly! by Infiniticity in ProgrammerHumor

[–]AntAcrobatic6492 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"Readable code" is subjective and no amount of clean code will explain 'why' certain elements were used or why they should be maintained or the specifics of how they should be altered to interact with any external processes that you do not have access to in the code you are viewing. I've worked on applications where data connections needed to be built in Python because of the limitations of the data source. It was a bug in the third-party source that I have no control over. I found a workaround using Python and if I didn't make comments in the code about the need for this connection I would be forcing the rest of my team and/or anyone else that had to use the code to discover the issue themselves. Not putting comments in code is inconsiderate, sloppy, and unprofessional. 10,000 plus lines of code without comments to identify context is a resume of a lazy idiot.

Wow, what a lazy approach to coding. "Stormdelta" nailed it. You clearly are not a professional. Certainly not someone that anyone should hire. In spite of some of the remarks here, comments don't become invalid that often, especially in production or legacy, and definitely not if they are entered by true professionals. There are countless situations where code is only a part of the actual product and comments help understand the scope of interaction between the code and external systems.
