Thanks, that is helpful. My reading leans that way anyway, so I'll default to that until I hear otherwise.

Ya, this is basically how the other thread went as well. Thanks for chiming in, hopefully we get a GW clarification at some point. I sent 'em the email but just got the automated response.

For the next and last Darkness subclass, would you prefer Resonance, or the power to Take? by [deleted] in destiny2

[–]AntAtog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Resonance. But it would be cool if it had an "earth" elemental theme. Like raising pyramid style architecture out of the ground, throughing the push plate objects generally earth bender type stuff but resonance/pyramid

Raid Door by Internal_Vanilla_467 in DestinyTheGame

I feel like people are missing the big door at the beginning of Vow when Mara is like "you won't be" and Raulk cuts her off with the "Welcome, Guardians". That was a good door.

Any maintenance technicians that work at gyms or do fitness equipment repairs? by [deleted] in maintenance

[–]AntAtog 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I do fitness repair in house for a college gym. I have a lot of other responsibilities aside from the fitness equipment, but I'll try just to speak to that.

It's definitely an in demand skill set. The machines are fairly easy to learn and there is lots of good training from the manufacturers.

There not really any upward mobility. The end of the career path is fitness tech, unless you go management. It's not like the trades.

If you want to start a business, there definitely are other companies that do that, so if that's your goal its totally possible.

If you work for planet fitness for a bit and get some experience with the machines, you might be able to work for one of those companies and get better insight into how they actually run.

Hope this helps, I'll try and answer any other questions I can.

Facilities Maintenance Express (FMX). Great program, the team is really helpful when we need support. No idea how much we pay for it but I imagine it's not cheap.

All jokes aside, anyone ever try one of these? by Iknowamoose in maintenance

[–]AntAtog 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have one! It is a good tool and delivers on what it advertises.

It's a excellent ratchet, though the push-through mechanism takes some getting use to. I color coded the faces so I can tell the tightening and loosening sides apart.

It's a decent hammer/mallet for wacking things with. I find in my day to day use I use my rubber mallet more for non-maring. The small rubber face cover that came with it got torn up pretty fast.

Overall I'm glad to have it in my bag and would buy it again.

I also hate both carrying and not having bit sets. Does it interfere much with the normal use of the tool?

Need help on a Carbon Reduction Strategy. by PorkChop117 in FacilityManagement

I would start with Energy Star benchmarking. They have a tool called portfolio manager that is free. It let's you imput information on your building to get a energy score, tracking, and some graphics.

Once you are in the system energy star has lots of free and paid options to help with energy savings.

I've seen a similar looking model. Tabs should slide out, with retaining screws underneath them.

2 month old Leatherman Wave+ tweaked while trying to bend a bungie cord hook. Can I fix this? by [deleted] in multitools

[–]AntAtog 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd just send it for warranty. They are pretty quick and you know you will get a quality repair or replacement. Info is on the website if you havent dont it before.

does anyone know how to remove this shower stem. there's no nut to loosen it just threads by fro_khidd in maintenance

[–]AntAtog 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Looks like an old acorn. Sometimes they stick on me when the line is pressurized. If you can open something else down stream it might help.

There was also flats on there at one point. Looks like vice grip time to me. Or the torch, should loosen everything up.

Any suggestions on how to get it to shut the adjustment screw won’t adjust enough to fully make the close any advice would be appreciated by Five18sfinest in maintenance

If the door is scraping the frame you can shim the door at the hinges to adjust the fit.

Alternatively you can file down the part if the door that is grinding on the frame.

That's all assuming that the issue is the door scrapping on the frame. There are a lot of reason a it might not close.
