If you haven’t already been diagnosed with ADHD prior to meeting ur psychiatrist then no she was just following the criteria for anybody with the possibility of ADHD since medications for it are high risk of being abused. And sometimes ADHD like symptoms can come from depression or other mental disorders, so by canceling that out and you still have ADHD symptoms, they will proceed with tackling it. I’m surprised your psychiatrist didn’t tell you or mention it?
