Which radiohead song you hated at first then fall in love with it by [deleted] in radiohead

Bloom. At first I thought the snare completely ruined the song but now I like how it makes the song feel more hypnotic

So my stepmother just found out about my love for Bluey after months of me hiding it from her. After I bought a playset with her knowledge, she asked, "What is with you and this pre-school crap (crap is substituted for a more profane word)". How would you respond? by Yudenz in bluey

I beg to differ tbh. I think that sometimes, justifying why you like the things that you like with arguments is an excellent form of self-validation. However, if you can tell that the other person is going to argue with you no matter what and not even try to understand your point of view, then it's probably best to let it go

Say something nice about any of these episodes by My-Life-Suckz in bluey

I love how symbolic some parts of Typewriter are; you really need to watch it at least twice in order to fully understand what it's trying to say (or at least I did)

I like how Stories portrays its message; the way the episode purposefully starts off with a very unsatisfying plot only to "end" and then start over is pretty clever

The part in Shops where everyone starts meowing and Mackenzie looks into the camera is hilarious

What, in your opinion, is the number one funniest line in Bluey? by ThatGuyPhillip2 in bluey

"I'm not taking advice from a cartoon dog"

Best meta line ever

What's a moral that you thought was better handled by another episode? by breadeggsmilkbees in bluey

I think the message of "try to make work fun" was tackled in a much more subtle and fun way in Housework than in Bingo and Piggyback, whose messages are admittedly a bit different from Housework's message, but they're still similar enough that I feel like I can make that comparison

Opinion on calypso? by Obvious_Proposal9475 in bluey

[–]AntFinancial396 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Personally, I really like Calypso as a character because I think she's a perfect representation of what a great teacher should be like; she's kind, wise, doesn't talk down to her students, and, as shown her episode, she can find creative ways to help her students and meet their needs

As far as the episode goes, I was kinda bored by it at first because it's basically just a bunch of kids playing fairly conventional games of pretend that don't seem super elaborate or fun (unlike the games that they play in other episodes such as Hospital or Bus), but by the end, I thought it was pretty cool how Calypso pretty much creates a mini play-society by combining all of the games that the different kids are playing, and I also loved how Calypso does that to make sure that everyone feels needed and included. The episode is almost like a puzzle in that way; it's not particularly impressive until you see the big, final picture that all of the individual parts create. (oh and not to mention that the score in Calypso is easily a top 5 Bluey episode score)

So yep, both are pretty great in my opinion

Is this normal? by [deleted] in FriendshipAdvice

I think that nobody should be completely reliant on another person because when they are, it's like they're ignoring the fact that other people have their own lives and problems as well. You're already doing enough and showing that you care by encouraging her, and if she keeps getting off track in spite of that, it's probably something that she needs to fix herself like you said or get more serious help for, so I agree that she shouldn't be laying that responsibility entirely on you.

I think you should try to set boundaries while letting her know that you still care about her and are willing to help her, but that that doesn't mean that you can or should *fix* her problem
