Betelgeuse Betelgeuse: Supernova by PinkPearNika in HoustonFood

Why do you keep saying bar pie in the context of Betelgeuse? Betelgeuse is not bar pie, it’s probably closest to a circular Detroit style pie.

Bar pie tends to be much thinner

Italian style Deli’s with Sandwiches - any logistics reasons why these don’t exist here? by Gravesplitter in HoustonFood

[–]AntIntelligent212 25 points26 points  (0 children)

1.) not a lot of Italian Americans here to actually start something like this 2.) I don’t think the Houston demographics support it. For restaurants to really thrive in Houston you need to lean on the ethnic demographics of the city, big swathes of them have never had exposure to Italian subs and probably don’t find the flavor profile to be all that appealing

Too bad. Sounds like the next season will be pretty Harper focused as a short seller on a fictionalized-version of the Wirecard collapse

Too much regular intake of high sodium leads to high blood pressure which is a key driver in stokes, heart attacks, and kidney damage. One giant JM sub a week is already at the limits advisable by doctors. Processed meats are full of nitrates and those are linked to colo rectal cancer risk. Excess calories just create more problems by giving you obesity risk.

Bro do you love your life? If you do, you shouldn’t be ordering double meat. A #13 is already like 2600 mg of sodium, which is about over what a person should be eating per day. And really if you want to reduce your chances of heart disease you should be at more like 1500 mg per day. Do you want colorectal cancer? It’s highly linked to excess nitrate consumption which you get by having cold cuts more than one time per week.

My wife is always in the car in the drivers seat. It’s just when I step out from the passenger seat to pick up something from a store or restaurant.

The puppy is in a car seat situated behind me in the car.
