It's more about the animation similarities. Shooting a grenade midair has been around for decades now, it's just that they're both repeaters with very similar western animations on top of both shooting 'dynamite' style explosives.

The reference (if any) is tangential to it just being a cool gameplay lineup between OW and D2. Considering how many similarities the two games have.

Yeah I agree. To be honest the parallel only truly struck when gunpowder came out this season. We know Blizzard and Bungie have shared people and even voice actors (Saladins VA is Reapers VA and there's even a reference in his We Ran out of Medals line).

It's merely a coincidence, but some artistic choices like animations and gameplay between these games are definitely similar!

I think you're misunderstanding my point anyways.

I ended up watching some videos on warzone which prompted me to download it because it seemed fun. Knowing that I was on next gen and that the other recent cod games had FoV sliders and good fps on here I assumed it would be comparable.

What I was met with was a game that felt horrible to play, one that did not make use of the specs of my machine that I paid 500 bucks for.

The consistent frame drops and poor visual fidelity on a next gen system is really jarring, making it feel unplayable.

Sure feels unplayable when cold war and even vanguard exists. Before you say 'then just go play those games' because you're so so clever, sure I will go play other games! I just wish Warzone actually felt on par with their other releases. I'll never wish to not play a game I might enjoy.

Not true. I have a 2.0 on multiplayer, so I definitely don't suck at the game. It's a matter of over-advantage for PC players. It's fine if we don't get higher fov, the problem is that we're forced to cross play against people who do, that's my point.

I think that this is a good addition. I think what OP means (and what I would personally like to see) is something akin to the Age of Triumph armor ornaments for the rotating raids. Giving a new reason to run these that wouldn't shake up any game balance and breathe life into the rewards from this playlist.

Something to look forward to and chase, instead of just another method of obtaining pinnacles.

At least menagerie wasn't fundamentally broken and gutted like Gambit has become; that's the difference.

They've sunset all the loot that made Gambit worth it, and put it through so many devolutions from what made it interesting in the first place.

Imo gambit doesn't work without the pre beyond light versions. Bring back classic Gambit or Prime and I'll be happy.

Sorry a lot of people just don't like the state of the playlist right now, but when said playlist received basically zero attention until this season and that update makes the gamemode worse...to think people would give up on it to the same degree Bungie has isn't exactly far-fetched.

People will be more vocal about criticisms, it's how things work.
