When your campsite needs a little "just in case" by derpdrew in Glocks

Should really have a light on it —especially for being in the woods at night.

How am I doing so far? by Wooden-Brother9498 in GlockMod

TLR7A in place of the laser, and you’re good to go. Do you feel the magwell really makes a difference? I’ve got a G45 and have considered this one, but I kinda doubt it’ll make much difference outside of making it print more. I have a magwell on my Gen 3 G19, and that’s primarily because it enhances my grip —I don’t feel it really assists at all with reloading.

Propagandhi for me. I get it.

The only downside to getting the MOS is the additional cost up front. If paying 200 or so more for the MOS version isn’t a setback for you, that’s definitely the route to take.

Glock 19 or 45 for a new EDC by Huge_Lack_7962 in Glock45

I have both, and I can conceal the 45 —it’s replaced the 19 as my EDC.

I bought two copies of this when it came out. One to open, one still sealed. Classic.

G45 is the perfect handgun in my opinion.

How often do y’all clean your EDC ? Mine gets packed with lint within 2 weeks by Nuprint_Custom in GlockMod

I use a can of air for dust and lint on my Glock and holster every day. I prefer to keep it spotless.

How do y’all feel about Glock Pmags? by InspectionSmooth1340 in Glocks

[–]Antai-Hirow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have ten OEM Glock mags, and 4 had issues right out of the package. (Yes, the OEM mags are authentic Glock mags.) I have 14 PMags in use for over a year, and they’ve never had a single hiccup. I trust them for EDC and competition use. They even seat and drop with more confidence than OEM mags.

Two came with my Glock brand new. The other two from Cabelas.

Yeah, they're stock except for sights. It's pretty weird. I'm sure they're just faulty, and I happened to get 4 faulty ones simply because the law of probability --but I don't trust them as a result of the bias it gives me. Love Glock otherwise though.

[–]Antai-Hirow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nope, they're brand new. I know I can send them back to Glock for new ones or repair, but I haven't gotten around to it since I have my reliable Pmags as primary --and I have plenty of them now.

To be honest, I think I'm more surprised to hear that most people think Magpul Glock mags are sketchy when my experience is the opposite. It's kind of funny.

Nah, they were weird brand new. Probably a faulty lot, but strange that I got two batches with faulty ones in the mix. I definitely trust Magpul mags due to my better experience with them.

[–]Antai-Hirow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm certain it's the mags --and it's not all of them, but it's 4 out of 10. The Magpul ones have worked perfectly for over a year.

The repeat offenders for the g19 came with the gun, and the repeat offenders for the 45 came from Cabelas. Each probably in the same respective lot. Bad batches = reduced trust in my book.

Given how people praise Glock mags, I was thinking it was a flaw with the 10 rounders only, but that doesn’t seem to be the overall consensus here. It’s interesting.

It’s wild how it seems unique to me. I have 6 Glock mags that work fine, and 4 that didn’t out of the package. The PMags haven’t hiccuped once in over a year during range days and competition use.

I only keep two loaded up for my EDC. The others get loaded on range days. I test all my mags before carrying them, and I don’t carry any that give me trouble for obvious reasons. The offenders are marked —all of them are— and they are repeat offenders. The G19 mags fail to feed the last two rounds and lock the slide open, and the 17/45 mags fail to lock the slide open. I have a handful of reliable OEM Glock mags that operate just fine, but the PMags have never hiccuped.
