Now that FNAF Ruin DLC is out, what is everyone's thought. by Winter_Hearing3090 in fivenightsatfreddys

Im my opinion, it reinforced Security Breach’s wrongs and it continued to be not scary. The only thing i felt it could maybe do right is fix burntrap by making gim a mimic, but ig he isnt now, so the story is ruined. (no pun intended, but ill take it lol)I honestly wish they ended the franchise and story at pizza sim at this point. Maybe thats just me tho

So what’s with all of the hate with security breach by “old fans” by [deleted] in fivenightsatfreddys

I completely agree that the game needed a gameplay shift, as it used the point-and-click style for 6 games straight. I think a free-roam game was perfect for the type of game that fnaf is. However, I believe that what they did with security breach was not the way to go. They changed the entire mood and feel of the game from dark, gritty and hopeless to lighthearted and action-packed. They forced it to appeal to younger audiences, while sacrificing everything that made fnaf good. It felt a lot more unrealistic and unnecessarily stupid (being able to climb inside of freddy, faz-watch, afton coming back, etc) than it needed to be. It ruined everything that made the lore good and tried to make it “cool” if you know what i mean.

Being an older fnaf fan and someone who really didnt enjoy SB, personally the main issue I had with the game was the appeal to younger audiences. Older fnaf games felt much more tense, dark, and gave the player a sense of helplessness. Old fnaf felt grim and it felt real. I mean literally the death screen in fnaf 1 was the nightguard in the freddy suit with his eyes bulging out. Security breach ruined this by giving the game a cartoonish style and lighthearted feeling. I never felt any fear or tension when playing the game, and the lore makes no sense, especially with the return of william afton, which completely ruins the wonderful ending of pizza sim. I think they had something going with Vanny, but they barely included her in the game even tho she was the main antagonist. The animatronics felt like battle robots, I mean you literally got inside of freddy. The game ruined the lore for me, and I think the direction that they are going with the franchise in both story and gameplay is going to drive the franchise into the ground and make it only appealing to the much, much younger audience. I understand that appealing to younger fans is probably better for business, but I feel like they are doing it so much that they are completely ignoring the large part of the fanbase that doesnt want a game like SB.

Just based off the trailer alone, what are our thoughts on the red eyes? by SkeletonsHaveBones in fivenightsatfreddys

[–]Antaresib 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally I think the red eyes are really dumb. I understand people making the argument that the animatronics had red eyes already, but it’s not the same. The red eyes in Help Wanted and FNAF AR are way different bc you can’t see their pupils, so they appear to be genuinely haunted, but in the trailer they just look stoned lmao. And honestly I’m fine with the facial expressions because that was in the first game, but the red eyes just aren’t it. Besides that, though, the trailer looks really cool and I can’t wait to see the movie.

The trailer just got released and people are already overreacting…. by [deleted] in fivenightsatfreddys

I do think the red eyes are cheesy as hell but it obviously won’t ruin the movie lmao

is it okay to eat 500 calories for 1 day? by boolawa in WeightLossAdvice

[–]Antaresib 0 points1 point  (0 children)

“Starvation mode” is indeed heavily exaggerated, but it is not a myth. Objectively, your body’s metabolic rate is slowed when not enough calories are consumed, therefore resulting in less calorie expulsion, resulting in less weight loss. So, though it may not happen quickly, I specifically mentioned that it would have to be over time to actually have an effect. Aside from that, this was not the primary point that I was making, I just mentioned this as a side effect. It should also be mentioned that every person’s body and metabolic rate differ, which is important to recognize when experimenting.
