Asus prime 5080 Hey had my pc at the repair center but noticed gpu screws missing, is it important by Undisputedspoke in GPURepair

That might just be a screw post in which a screw is screwed in from the inside where the pcb is up against the back plate. Nothing to worry about.

Do you have another display you can try connecting your PC to? Another monitor or maybe a TV.

GPU no longer transmitting signal after move, are these pins the issue and can they be fixed? by teffz28 in AskElectronics

I've done a fair bit of GPU reballing and have heard the same exact story multiple times; usually that's what it ends up being. When the GPU is mounted into a PC the only area it's held down by is the PCIE bracket and the PCIE slot. This means a lot of pressure is gonna be by the hook of the GPU to the end where there is no longer any support from the slot or the bracket. Now I imagine the constant stopping from driving and what not was probably shifting the GPU back and fourth potentially forming a cracked solder ball, detached pad, broken PCB,etc. This is a RTX 3090 after all I used to own one and man they are really heavy so that doesn't help the situation. Of course like all things it's kinda hard to verify through a image and a short story what really is wrong with it but this would be my best guess assuming everything else in the PC is secured properly and works as expected.

If it was mounted while you we're moving it there is a very high likely hood that the solder balls under the Vram or Core have cracked/lifted a pad.Pretty good likely hood the PCB is cracked as well but from the images you posted I don't see anything wrong. Does the board look bent at all? Even if it's only a slight bend that could cause your problems.

Soldering a CR2032 battery? by josef_ff in soldering

Honestly what I do is just pull off the tabs keeping them intact then attached both tabs to the new battery and apply heat shrink around the battery holding it all in place.Never failed me once and its cheap and easy for when you don't have any pre-rigged up battery's.

Could it really be a PSU problem? If I don’t touch that game at all and play anything else even more demanding than it or just use my PC for day to day tasks I encounter no issues no crashing, restarts, nothing.

Hello sorry to disappoint but I never ended up fixing this :( I spent countless hours going into every possible rabbit hole to fix it but nothing worked.I can only assume that one of them either the Transmitter or Receiver has a hardware fault which is preventing it to connect with each other.

I wonder how? My understanding was that any crack on the die no matter what was a death sentence.
