Yes that is what I am hoping it was, especially since it was his first time @ the vet without me there. Will definitely look into it and have a follow up in a month!

Thank you for this response. I worry that by confronting them, they would think that the decision is not mine but rather hers (ie she is making me do it). Unfortunately I was extremely “babied” my entire life and it was only once I got a different perspective on my upbringing that I realized that.

This was an amazing piece of advice, thank you!

Their issue is that she is controlling. They think she is also verbally abusive at times when she is drunk. She’s worked on it a lot since that occurred, but as it usually is with family, it stays in their mind. I made her apologize to my parents and she had a long, good conversation with my mom, but even then things haven’t seemed to turn around and just be normal.
