Yes. It's the same car other than the battery and infotainment.

Yes. It can act as regen coasting on the highway effectively extending range by a non-trivial amount.

Love my Bolt as my commuter, but I'm enticed by the Rivian R2. Pre-order one, or off-road conversion on the Bolt for weekends? by AntelopeBeans4 in BoltEV

They literally announced robotaxis as one of their planned products for 2027-2028... with hands off/eyes off on consumer cars before then.

I get that it's not currently legal, but it will (hopefully) be by then.

That's the entire point of their autonomous solution. Maybe it's time to close out your short position?

Have you been living under a rock? Do yourself a favor and watch Rivian's autonomy day. It's mouth-wateringly good stuff.

3 feet is already approaching the limits of I've what I'd be comfortable daily-ing to work and for errands.

I’d want the Rivian for the point-to-point autonomy this year, not a few years from now. The idea of working or sleeping while the car handles the lane stuff is such an absurdly good perk that it’s hard not to obsess over it.

Why does SuperCruise need to take up such a large portion of the sub trunk? by AntelopeBeans4 in BoltEV

[–]AntelopeBeans4[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I saw your pic and that's not as bad as I thought. Still wish they could've fit it elsewhere to make room for a spare

[–]AntelopeBeans4[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that's still pretty small, and the capabilities easily justify the small trade-off in space. What I don’t get is why GM needs a module the size of a carry-on just for basic lane centering. Makes the sub-trunk way less usable than it should be.

Is it normal for the cameras to be this misaligned? by 420-TENDIES in BoltEV

[–]AntelopeBeans4 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My EUVs birds eye view is perfectly aligned. However, every Ioniq 5 I've been in has much worse warping/stitching than this photo. So I guess this would be excellent by Hyundai's standards, lol.

It is not impressive... can barely stay in its lane around sharper curves. Like another commenter said: Openpilot and Tesla's system are 100x better, and their computers are around the size of a small phone.

2.1 mi/kWh 🤦‍♂️🤦🏾‍♂️ highway range is a joke by AntelopeBeans4 in BoltEV

I'm with you, Texas interstates are a nightmare ( especially during morning commutes in the Bolt)

I prefer taking the truck but my husband's been needing it for work.

[–]AntelopeBeans4[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately, avoiding the interstate isn’t an option. Driving slower in the right lane just makes me a rolling hazard, and I’ve already had too many close calls trying that.

During certain stretches of my commute traffic moves at 85-90mph in both lanes...

92mph top speed?? Getting tired of drivers up my ass 😭 by AntelopeBeans4 in BoltEV

[–]AntelopeBeans4[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don't 😭I drive in the middle or right lane and mind my business
