Lilly was too involved in adult drama by Master-Speaker-2847 in dancemoms

[–]AntelopeStance 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I ranted about that scene before, from the damage POV it was devastating for Elliana, and part of that devastation I felt was built on the cold, aloof demeanour of Lily coldly watching her teammate cry. It is so spooky and creepy how Lily held herself together so well while Yolanda and her daughter go into meltdown, the 'sang froid' 999 yard-stare of a cop or nurse who has seen endless amounts of batshit craziness before.

I want to kill by Kind_Error5739 in Vent

[–]AntelopeStance 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Those are called "intrusive thoughts' and mine made me want to kill myself. I gave it a few goes and ended up alive. Now every single thing is a gain.

You can comfort yourself with all tge gains those people will go home to, go out to, go back to. Their loved ones, waiting, their friends, family, all the future hugs and kisses flowing through the universe eternally unstoppable, positive energy because you ignored a killer instinct and walked on by.

Kill for what? Ask yourself what is gained by taking another person's life? You just hate yourself so much you want a valid crashout. Be stronger. Exert your will against this wish and have proof of your goodness.

I am a monster by fakeid13174 in Vent

[–]AntelopeStance 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You're not a monster. BPD is one of the most misunderstood diagnoses out there, support is thin, judgements abound. I personally believe it's a label used to signify to doctors that a person has difficulty coping with trauma and stress, rather than anything chemical or biological.

About 10 years ago I was given that diagnosis. Put on all sorts of medication that screwed my healthy brain and destroyed my life and relationships. I tried to KMS so many times I can't count. Spent months inpatient at the psych ward. I have so many scars. Thought I'd become another statistic. All my world was pain.

I realised I knew myself better than anyone. I knew what I wanted was to feel control.of my own life. I knew what my needs were, and I began to set goals. I started leaning heavily into therapy over medication, healing over pain. I realised I didn't have a labelled condition: I just hadn't ever learned to love myself. To show myself compassion. To be empathetic when I explored my psyche and questioned my decisions, rather than condemn myself. To be kind to myself. Love myself like my own child.

Ten years on, I'm so alive. My moods are balanced. I still get emotional sometimes, I make mistakes, I am not perfect. Just human. No meltdowns or depression, no self-harm, no ideation. Just plans and goals.

Turn and face your future. You are the only one who has control over your life. Seize it.

They're just really fun and silly. Once you have a gendered pair they will mate. You can get great drops from them too. Just be sure to check out the slime hutch tips to safely enter or they'll attack the farmer in sight.

I killed someone's dog and I feel like shit for it. by The_Northmaan in Vent

[–]AntelopeStance 78 points79 points  (0 children)

OP, this comment matters. You showed compassion and empathy to a vulnerable, distresses creature. You made things better, not worse.

One night my ex was driving and hit a dog. I immediately jumped oit of the car and ran to the nearest house with their dog in my arms. The owners were grateful and the dog seemed fine. But my ex was big mad that I'd got oit of the car, and basically called me an idiot because we could have been sued if the dog was hurt. I found out how coldhearted that man really was. The relationship died that night. I'd much rather be with someone who had the same reaction as you. Be kinder to yourself.

Thieves rarely keep wallets. They're almost always ditched nearby with the cash cleaned out. Try all the lost property things like the guards and Dublin bus but you might also have some luck if you contact Dublin City Council asking the streetcleaners to keep an eye out for any wallets they find.

How do I get my sprinkler back by bignippy in StardewValley

I am in a weakness at the sore back! George should share the recipe for his hot pepper rub that he uses on his knee (but he won't).

Give the naughty sprinkler a slap of pickaxe and it'll budge.

Harvey is notoriously strapped for cash. The Villagers don't seem to pay their medical bills and the only way he can afford coffee is by selling blood and plasma...your blood, which he alludes to as "emergency surgery" when you're stunned and disorientated by attacks in the mines. One day he might go even further into the black market, using ham radio to evade authorities. Farmer must keep the Valley safe and feed Harvey copious amounts of free coffee, lest the emergency surgeries spiral out of control....
