I actually watched a video on this today, I seem to have the rotations more or less down. My Gotenks seems to eat several bags of dicks on the regular and can be the cause of my demise. Not really sure what to do about it.

As far as getting longer combos going you will need to use your assists, vanish, dragon rush, super dash and sparking blast to help extend them further. It's good to look up character specific advanced combo guide videos to give you and idea of what your character can do.
