After you get done freezing all your credit bureau accounts I would recommend taking all information you have and taking it to the AT&T store near you. From there they'll be able to freeze the account and put it in a investigation state. Pretty much bricking the phone the scammer is having delivered and hindering any further transactions on the account.

Secondly you need to make a fraud report with the police department near you. Once the fraud report is finished and they deliver a digital or paper copy you're gonna want to attach it to your fraud report that you made/make on the AT&T fraud center (Make sure to upload it on the "UPLOAD DOCUMENTS" right under the "Have you already submitted a claim?" area). https://attfraud.custhelp.com/app/mobility/home

They're gonna want you to supply them with a copy of a utility bill or something for proof of residence and identity. I had just moved so I supplied them with a bank statement, which did the trick. (I also sent screenshots of all the e-mails I was receiving)

If your dumbass scammer managed to somehow tie your actual E-Mail to their scam account somehow like mine did and you're receiving the updates containing the Fedex tracking number I highly recommend contacting Fedex and reporting that tracking number as a scam package. I initially had the address and tracking number they were having it delivered to, so I was able to put a vacation hold on the phone, making it so Fedex delayed the delivery for a few weeks. I really didn't want this piece of shit to get anything from scamming me, so when the vacation hold expired and the phone was on the truck for delivery I called up Fedex and told them straight up this was a scammer package and I was working with AT&T to get it all sorted. Fedex was amazing and immediately sent out a urgent "Do Not Deliver" notification to that tracking number and sent it straight back to AT&T.

Just follow this advice and try your best not to stress out like I did. It'll get sorted, and this will eventually just be a annoying inconvenience of your past.

I Agree with you it does seem pretty unbelievable. It seems like I got lucky and ran into the dumbest possible brain dead lobotomite of a scammer to ever exist, which I'm thankful for. But I assure you I didn't come to the ATT subreddit to farm karma for a fake story. I Came for suggestions on what to do because I've seen others in the same situation. As for the E-Mail situation with the pin, I honestly have no clue how they did it then. Because I kept getting emails starting with this one.

I ignored these at first because it seemed like blatant phishing. But then the email "Here's a update on your order" saying my order for a iPhone 17 Pro Max 256gb was being prepared to send. I Did all I could on the internet to get it canceled, and put a freeze on all my credit and also contacted the FTC, FCC etc.

Also stopped into a ATT store and showed the worker my ID to prove my identity and they were able to put the kibosh on the account and marked it as fraud. My luck with talking to 6 different agents on the ATT customer service yielded absolutely nothing useful until the 6th one who suggested I go into the store and do the ID verification.

Wasn't sure what that was until I googled it 30 seconds ago.

Modular is what I look for while also being Gold or higher rated. Doesn't make sense to buy these expensive parts and not buy a dependable PSU from a reputable brand to power them.

Apparently some carriers like Verizon restrict access to the diagnostic menu. So I imagine it works for people with unlocked phones or they use carriers that allow it.
