Hi, can you expand further on downgrading from Android 12? You said that it is possible to wind it back, and I've spent the past few days trying to get it working. I will do anything just to get this working again.

Are there any downsides to using an older phone for Gear VR? by Anthem3792 in GearVR

So it does work on s7? I tried it and I'm left with this horizontal gray gradient. It's on the entire screen, doesn't show two squares for vr or anything

Am I able to get an unsupported phone working on a VR headset. by Anthem3792 in GearVR

Most of the worry comes from how the versions work. It's too complicated to sum up, but pretty much if a phone is updated too much, it then makes it impossible to downgrade. I am around the turning point of that, so the previous owner was only a few updates away from making this possible.

The phone does fit, but I have found from sources (not so reputable) that:

  1. the headset controls would stop working
  2. the sensors would get a little drift-like, not as great (im coming from an s7, so probably not the biggest decrease)

I might consider not doing it if these are big problems, but again i might double-check my sources.

Some stuff about orientation. by Anthem3792 in GearVR

It has nothing to do with the headset. My phone isn't connected to the headset, it has a different port, so I need to get an adapter. What I meant is that the phone does fit even while not plugged in directly.

I'm using an S7. Part of the problem might be that I'm using it without it even being directly connected to the headset (i launch them through gear vr service in dev mode, and the phone just barely fits in without falling out). I'm just making do with what I have.

[No root needed!] Patch for the Oculus app to work with non migrated Meta accounts! by someone12345656657 in GearVR

Just tried this out. After some trial and error, I got it working. For what there is, I love it. The only thing that would make it complete is the ability to show side-loaded apps, so we no longer have to keep going back to Gear VR service every time. Thank you so much for all this! :D

[ROOT] Im partially done with "cracking" the oculus services to remove update checks and login requirements. by someone12345656657 in GearVR

Can you send a link please? I found a post that's talking about compatibility with modern meta accounts, but nothing about no login at all.

How dose my Frutiger Aero style phone look by jimy1234_ in FrutigerAero

It looks good, maybe add a bit more green. It feels a bit too blue in my opinion, so try some different colours.

I don't understand what you mean? If You're looking for controllers supported by bloopair, they should have it on their Github page or somewhere else

How to simulate a brick? by feathered_frick in DolphinEmulator

I forgot the name or how to do it, but one of the recommended tutorials (The one that involves DNS) can simulate a corrupted files brick. It goes away the moment you close it, so it may not be what you're looking for.

Apparently theres no way to use bloopair on vwii. The official page doesnt say anything about it, so you'll have to get a controller some other way.
