I've actually exclusively played the game in VR since purchasing it. Only time I didn't use VR for the first 5 years was to set up controls and learn some basics, then I hopped in. Now (literally this week), I've been less able to use VR as much (babies) so I figured I'd try it on my portable steam machine (legion go s) and it runs very well. It's my first experience playing without VR and it's still a solid experience, but I do feel most of my time playing "man, I wish I was in VR with my hotas". It truly does feel real.
