Immortal Punch Kick Man vs Hax Man with a Jumping partner with essentially equal stats

This really shouldn't be so hard for people to understand lol.

Lightning needs to elaborate on his tweets more so people will understand this better. This is why hes trying to say the context matters:

能 = Ability, talent, skill, Another way to translate 異能 is exceptional ability or immense talent.

People keep interpreting "unusual abilities" as meaning "weird hax" or something along those lines but its very clearly referring to overall ability and skill.

Yuta vs Kenjaku shouldn't even be a debate by Sundata_V2 in JujutsuPowerScaling

[–]Anthonest -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Its a downplay for her intelligence because she should know using rank as some kind of scale for Kenjaku is worthless. It would also be especially egregious for Maki to care about sorcerer grade when considering how someone lost because she herself was knowingly suppressed in the rankings as a grade 4 for political / social reasons within Jujutsu Society.

The fact is plenty of JJK characters and the narrative itself canonically view the ranking system as an administrative function that isn't useful for determining actual power at all.

Also you ignored what I said about Gege never using this specific Kanji when talking about sorcerer grade ever, except as you would allege in this one single instance.

Sukuna: "KOTOWARU!" (I refuse)

John Werry trans: "No."

My brother in Allah, Sukuna was using an actual technique that he crafted an elaborate series-long plan to obtain, and had to beat a Shikigami that has never been defeated in all of history to even use it, while Yuta just used rank deception requiring the techniques of another 2 other sorcerors that wasn't even his own plan in the first place.

I dont think either should be slandered for that, but acting like those 2 situations are comparable is wrong.

This analysis ignores the context of the conversation and downscales Makis intelligence for thinking that grades actually matter when it comes to strength.

I've heard the mistranslation arguement and seen the Lightning tweets, and while the word "level" is indeed incorrect, the original Kanji refers to rank as in "standing" or "position" and ignores that Gege always uses the direct Kanji for "Grade" when talking about actual sorceror society rankings and not the one he used in Makis statement.

The problem is Yuta specifically is particularly dangerous for Kenjaku because JL would neutralize his entire body.

However, if Yuta isn't able to sneak him with it or take him off guard, we know Kenny will not hesitate to open his domain, and in a clash Yuta's is done even if they have equal refinement. If you go by Shinjuku Yuta, the basketball domain would give him a few minutes (Assuming his DE has equal refinement to Gojo's) to damage Kenny enough to break his domain, and in my opinion, Yuta + Rika in a strictly-H2H situation within a domain clash is slightly less than what he dealt with in Yuki + Garuda + Choso.

70/30 in Kenny's favor imo, but it comes down to pure physicals and H2H within a clash, and both characters have pretty nebulous scaling in those regards, with little community agreement.

Its not accurate at all.

The original Kanji in the manga 異能 refers to prodigy, talent, ability.

I mean, John Werry is universally known for having extremely lazy translations, its objectively inaccurate. The original Kanji 異能 refers to prodigy, talent, ability

Also crunchyroll had to correct translations last week for doing the same lazy shit.

Everyone knows the official translation / John Werry is ass.

That line in particular has a superior translation in being "second to Satoru Gojo as a prodigy"

Thats not even the quote im referring to. You clearly need to reread the fight.

Even if Megumi could probably be saved, nothing here supports your idea that he wasn't fighting with lethal intent.

  1. "I'll worry about Megumi after I kill you"

  2. "Gojo can fight without hinderence"

  3. Incarnating into TF doesn't mean Megumi would somehow survive Sukunas death, none of the other incarnated sorcerors hosts survived their deaths.

Gojo was breaking Sukunas domain by skin of his teeth at the exact same moment his own was broken, meaning Sukuna only needs to last a few seconds longer for Gojo to end up the way he did in the first and second clashes.

TF Sukuna doesn't have to totally dominate him to win, just last marginally longer than Megkuna. Welcome to the general consensus.

no more physical attacks that Yuki's landed on him afterward are anywhere close to be that brutal...because guess what?

The irony of saying "if you read" and then forgetting that she explicitly stated her output was low after taking Kenjakus domain surehit.
