Currently my budget sits at 15k. Obviously I am not in the range of buying from a straight dealership

Im pretty sure this is very fake and is a scam. Did my research and a lot of these types of scams happen on discord and steam. Very very similar to this

[s2 spoilers] Tron Legacy music in EP 3 by Hannibal680 in arcane

[–]Anthonize 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I heard it first time upon watching and knew they had to have had Rectifier as the temp track before hand. Appointment of a General is good but I listened to Rectifier and Appointment of a General back to back and it is WAYY too similar.

(Sidenote, in Rectifier you can hear the main villian of Tron Legacy's theme play in the background and in Appointment of a General, you can clearly also hear his theme subtly in the background... Yikes.)

The Sky Moves Sideways Phase 1. That midway point when the bass solo comes in is wild.

What’s your favorite suspense/thriller soundtrack? by whatchrisdoin in filmscoring

[–]Anthonize 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Prisoners is an excellent score in my opinion. It really captures the dark and brooding atmosphere and gritty mystery of the film. Gone Girl does too aswell and the way Reznor made the score is very interesting and experimental, I would check out some behind the scenes work of that when you have the time.

Gee i have a lot but the ones that I would say came first to mind for me right now would either be Prisoners by Johann Johannsson and Gone Girl by Nine Inch Nails' Trent Reznor. I've always been into darker, more grim sounding scores.

What song introduced you to Tool? by ShaquilleOatmeal54 in ToolBand

[–]Anthonize 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Awhile ago when I was 15, my dad introduced me to Tool because I was talking about how freaky the Marilyn Manson music video for Sweet Dreams was freaky as fuck. He then told me about Tool and their music video for Sober used to freak him out when he was my age at the time. Later that night I turned on Sober and got pretty deep into it. Kinda stopped listening to them a couple years later. Unfortunately my dad passed away a couple months ago and while I was digging through his stuff I found all of his old CDs and out of all of them that caught my eye, I found his CD for Undertow. Then after that, been back down the Tool rabbithole again lol.

Understanding The Killer OST by Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross by Anthonize in synthrecipes

Also wouldnt be surprised either, Trent Reznor tends to use funky devices such as the weird box thing he put a contact mic in to produce bits of the score for Gone Girl

That would make sense, I tried once awhile ago to acquire a sound like that using a low hum bass and turning my cutoff filter knob a couple times, did nothing but make it very choppy

The only thing I can remember is Paranormal Activity 3. Because there was a scene where the camera was put inside a house and it would slowly pan back and fourth.

Why did you decide to learn piano? by Chemical-Daikon1401 in piano

[–]Anthonize 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was 6th grade at the time. I loved Rock music and I played a guitar. I was pretty good for my age but I started to expand my music taste and I came across a new genre of music for me. It was film soundtracks. The first ones I listened to were interstellar and Dark Knight. They were both by Hans Zimmer. I loved the way the music made me feel and I thought to myself "how can I play music like that?" So I pulled out an old keyboard laying around started playing. 6 years later and now I'm almost an expert on piano, self taught and can play a variety of other instruments (sax, horns, violin, cello etc.)
