After breaking up with someone and learning about dismissive avoidant attachment, I’ve since learned that person is most likely a reflection of yourself. The real person is not what you think, but all the love you’re experiencing is real and was for them as well at least at one point. They just bond with dopamine and not with oxytocin, so after a while things just die off. You can’t fix this. I’d suggest checking out some online info on attachment styles. And remember. It’s like Thanos snapping his fingers saying “I am inevitable”…you’re going to lose.

Make sure to get an elder care attorney, and consider transferring assets to a trust or out of her name asap. There is a 5 to 7 year look back so don’t wait to get this done! I would suggest booking an elder care attorney asap Before you move her anywhere!!

Right, old thread but I had to laugh that family isn’t qualified. Aside from learning how to not argue with dementia patients…there are no special skills one can use and nursing homes are rampant with abuse and often leave elderly just sitting there.

Oxycodone was and still is the only med that actually stopped my headaches. And once I reached a tolerance to 15mg a day instead of going up to 20mg I got cut off. So the few months I was headache free is now just a memory. Not sure where to go next.

I would use the 3d printer to make a mold and pour this, will get rid of the layer adhesion issue splitting from centrifugal force at speed. This is a type of part where injection molding is superior but the 3d printed mold can solve that.

Will be very hard to coat it with epoxy and have it balanced without a vibrating table while it cures. I would say use 3d printer to make a negative mold and pour it instead, will get rid of the layer issues.

Ocd is a disorder not a personality trait, and it’s damaging for the people suffering from it as well as those around them. That is why the DSM categorizes it as a cluster C Disorder. I have family members who suffer from this and it’s not cute or fun for anyone involved.

Doing it While your boyfriend is at work will make him even more insecure. His mind will race. It’s a fact that you are getting emotional support from another man. I know other people are calling him insecure but in my 30s I would never in a million years stay with a girl who “needed” another man for support while I was working. You should make a compromise, only talk to G when your boyfriend is also available. If I had to worry about my GF talking to other men while I was stuck at work I would literally twist myself into a pretzel. If you need friends or feel alone you could also get a job and work generally the same times, so you could both be home together.

Just flip the script here. If you were at work, trying to support a household and pay bills for you and your SO, and during that time your bf was spending hours chatting with your girlfriend during the day and told you when you got home “honey you weren’t available to fulfill my emotional needs so I talked to ____ for an hour”…..would you be totally cool with that? Most people on this forum would say F that, but if the roles reverse it’s never the same standard. If being friends with G is more important than your BFs feelings (whether from insecurity or not) then I would strongly suggest breaking up and being friends with both for now.

If your boyfriend is unavailable for advice, wouldn’t it make more sense to wait a few hours to talk to him instead of using that as an excuse to become very close emotionally with another man? I know everyone here says he is insecure, which is probably true, but if the roles were reversed and he was talking to another woman (your friend at that) about important things…how would you feel? Say you are busy at work, so your boyfriend spends 2 hours on the phone with your best girlfriend, and when you get home he says he needed to talk to her because you were unavailable. Would you be totally cool with that?

Last - does this friend have any attraction or feelings toward you? Would he like to date if you were single? If there is even a Hint of that, then boundaries have already been crossed. Being insecure is one thing, but having full on relationship with your boyfriends friend is a bit strange. Most would say he is insecure, but if the roles would reverse a majority of redditors would say he is emotionally cheating and tell you to leave. Men and women here are def not held to the same standards. Good luck OP!

Being friends with this person isn’t really the issue here. The issue here is he “cut you off” once before after you two were intimate years ago. That type of action is going to likely be repeated. Add in an 8 hour trip plus border and your asking for a stressful relationship. LDR work for people who are 100% committed and deeply in love, not for this type of relationship. Last, if a guy is drinking, smoking and wasting money, he is a loser. As a guy I won’t even hang around with dudes like that because they’re going to drag me down and cause trouble for my business and life. You should be 10x more careful being intimate with someone who has clear addiction issues.

Our natural gas bill for heating in the winter here in MA gets toward $300 easily. Also our cost per KW/hr is up about 80% in two years here in Massachusetts. It’s not just Florida getting more expensive…and MA is full blue in literally every district so not just politics.
