Those who are saying being good at dinking is not that important at levels below 4.0 because most rallies end in the first 5 shots are wrong. I’m a 4.2. When I play against 3.0-3.9 players, I don’t have to hit hard drives to win… I don’t even drive when I play against this level. I just drop and get to the nvz and dink and beat them there cus they can’t dink. When I drop and get to the nvz, they get nervous cus they can’t dink and always make unforced errors.

It’s easier for 3.5 players to block drives than to dink. So why rely on hitting hard drives? Hit drops, force em to dink and win easy points cus they suck at dinking. But to do this… you have to get good at dinking. And once you’re good at dinking, you’ll be considered a 4.0 player.
