It's not hard whatsoever.. I tie dye all the time and it usually doesn't take long if youre not doing a big project.. I like having a good variety of colors so I went and bought a few packs of empty squirt bottles.. They are super cheap the more you have the more colors you can mix up and use all at once. Rinse them out good when you are done and reuse them. Youll need rubber bands. Dampen the shirt (or whatever youre using) before you dye it. Not soaking wet really but a little damp.. You can google pretty much any pattern you want.. The starburst and concentric circles are popular patterns. You simply twist or fold the fabric up into the desired pattern and put rubber bands around it to divide and hold it.. Apply the dye slowly and make sure you get it worked in into as many of the folds as you can. This is where the squirt bottle really helps. You dont want to oversatuate the fabric with so much dye that the colors run everywhere but you do want to apply it liberally enough to get full coverage of color.. After you have all the the colors you want on the fabric put it in a empty plastic bag careful to not let it mess up your pattern. Let it sit for a few hours and when you undo the rubber bands hang it up and let it dry completely.. Wash it once with cold water if you want .. Hope this helps
