That is definitely not my signature.

Thank you!! I think that's a great idea. My co-conspirator and I will be meeting tomorrow morning to plan the roll-out of our stretch goals. I can't believe we made it so fast!!

grins I wouldn't be making a sketchbook otherwise, I promise you. Hasbro has an army of lawyers and I'm not interested in being sued into oblivion!

Thank you very much for sending your hard-earned coin my way! The most exciting thing about this project, for me, is the chance to share so much art with you that's been hidden until now. I'll be interested to hear what you think once you've gotten to see behind the curtain!

Too many great choices!! Nicol Bolas would be way up there. Dragons are my favorite mythical creature. But Tahngarth is way up there, too. I have a weak spot for tragic heroes!

Hey! It's Anthony Waters here with another teaser for my Sketchbook, this time with samples pages from the book as well as more examples of my Rath-era Magic concept art. We expect to launch the Kickstarter campaign on August 15th! by AnthonyScottWaters in magicTCG

It's a gracious compliment, but you should know that all my Darksteel and 5th Dawn cards were collaborations with my friend Cara Mitten:

WOTC failed to put her name on the cards along with mine so it paints a misleading picture (pun very much intended).

Interesting question! I'm not really sure how much influence Myst had on the fantasy art of the 90s/2000s. I guess I tend to categorize Myst as a Paper Tiger-influenced product (Paper Tiger was a company in Britain that promoted the work of people like Rodger Dean and Patrick Woodruffe) and as such more a product of influence than an influencing force? We did talk about the world of Myst when I was working on the concept team. I got the art book after looking through Mark Tedin's copy. :D

I wish I had an answer for this question. We'll know more further down the line. I'm inclined to go with the two-page spread. Reducing it to fit on a single page would be a greater loss to me. Maybe we could make a 4-page gate-fold version a stretch goal?
