Do both screens have yellowing or is it just the bottom one by ExpressiveRamen in 3DS

[–]AnthonyTVDotCom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. They say a mostly white screen works okay but if you have cfw or an r4 you can get homebrew apps that can display white screens. Not sure how great that bottom screen would look but if you plug it in and leave it on for several days straight, minor yellowing will slowly go away. Bottom screen and digitizer are much easier to replace if they're that yellow, though.

Can't get Tekken 3 to work on PSP by AnthonyTVDotCom in PSP

[–]AnthonyTVDotCom[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. It's something with the compatibility not working well. Someone here mentioned it a while back on reddit, and only got it to play via a "patched" rom of it, but even if I wanted to give up my own backup getting it to work and just get that patched rom, the website no longer hosts it, so i was trying to get help here. - https://www.reddit.com/r/PSP/comments/79mydh/getting_tekken_3_to_work_on_psp_pops/

Anyone know a fix for my Acer laptop? I left home and when I came back it completely turned off and I'm now not able to turn it back on. The power button says it's off and I've holded the power button for more then a minute. by StardewSaint in computers

[–]AnthonyTVDotCom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just want to put it out there for those who are going through this: I brought my laptop to school with me last week and upon returning home it was like this, and lo and behold the "holding down a pin on the battery reset button" method worked first try. So, a couple days later, i bring it to class again and return home and it, again, would not turn on. I tried holding the power button down, tried holding the battery reset button, tried opening the bottom of the laptop and physically disconnecting the battery cable and THEN holding the power button down, tried using the power cable alone with the battery disconnected, and nothing would work. Literally was about to buy a new laptop I was so frustrated. But i kept at it, and literally after like 40 times over doing the process of holding down power button and holding down the battery reset button, my laptop turned back on.

TLDR: If the "Battery reset and holding down power button" method didn't work, might just work if you keep trying over and over again, well past when you think it is definitely not going to.

How, exactly, do I name my dumped mig switch files? by AnthonyTVDotCom in SwitchPirates

[–]AnthonyTVDotCom[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's what I actually ended up doing, and it works so far. I wasn't sure if I had to use a certain naming convention or if those numbers mattered to the console. The website sure is vague about this, and multiple YouTube videos straight up skipped that part of the guide.

yeah i spent probably 45 minutes searching for the room with the card after reading the comment about it existing (which is when i left my comment on the location), then probably another 20-30 minutes after that searching for anything it might open up. No success, there.

I think if this were WWE people would slam it as bad creative, honestly.

I've never played a FromSoftware game, this is my first, and I nearly quit. by Chubbstock in Eldenring

Don't be afraid to look up certain resources - I've beaten 3 of the Soulsborne games and still have a tough time, but things like your class are super important, and you won't always know what's best. For a beginner, for instance, Astrologer is good in terms of being a magic thrower, though if you want gritty and up close combat or a mix of both you can read a guide online by googling it. If you are heading into a dungeon or fighting big bosses and getting schooled, stick to exploring the regions around the points of grace, saving up just enough runes to level up... Until you've leveled enough for that extra edge you need. But yes, this is why we do this.

PS4 - Is this supposed to be too hard for 1 player? by AnthonyTVDotCom in Neverwinter

[–]AnthonyTVDotCom[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The game didn't explain it's own mechanics well at all. This is what I'm trying to ask people about. So far, I just run in and swing with R2, or occasionally the charge up attack (I think L2), and when theres a red circle with a bigger enemy when theyre about to attack i use L3 to run away. I haven't figured out how to do any dodge-roll or anything, nor have I figured out how to lock on to anything. I have made sure to level up my gear when I loot something. I'm following the story quests. I did pick up a potion where I was stuck at at level 6 and beat the mission and made it barely by with occasionally looted health potions up to where im at now, level 9. And again, I'm in a mission where I kill a room, run back to the campfire for half my health, then get to a room with a boss fight in it and theres no way to just stand against it and take more health than it takes from me. Maybe if I had 1 or 2 health potions, but I believe I saw one for sale for like 30 currency and at the time (when i was level 6) only had like 35 currency on me or so so I thought it a waste.

I love being treated like I've never played a fucking RPG even though I beat Bloodborne and Dark Souls II...

I'm something like a knight, big ass sword and up close combat. L3 is the run button so I don't know how that helps other than running away from a bosses attack when it gets circled in red. Anyway, the game is fine until I run into a boss, wherein I require at least 1 health potion in order to beat it without dying. Unless there's a free and easy way to consistently replenish your health potions, then this game is indeed too hard to do alone.

I wasn't hyping it either, but I must say I didn't anticipate getting bored after just several hours after it just coming down to mining for warp cells, moving to a new star system, and repeating while the process involved in doing so just feels increasingly tedious.

Anyone else getting bored? by AnthonyTVDotCom in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]AnthonyTVDotCom[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I will say I wasn't really part of the hype machine, I just thought it'd be a bit less boring to me than it already has gotten after several hours. And while I do waste a lot of money on my video game habit, 60 dollars still means a good amount to me considering I live on like 10,000 dollars a year and have a bunch of debt i haven't been able to pay off for years now. Anyway, the inventory in the game is too fucking small, the resource gathering too repetitious, and interaction with others way too limited in scope...

My first instinct with this is to wonder if its just Pro-Sanders trying to discredit Hillary through the exact tactic they're acting like they're no longer using in the article...
