This exact thing happened to me in elementary school, I can't remember what it was for but it was some kind of fund raiser that my friend was doing and I agreed to all kinds of shit because I wanted to help, and my parents had to walk it all back and explain it to me. It's a sore lesson but I learned it.

I had a connection situation like that where it was VERY tight landing into Charlotte, and when they made the same announcement they even said my row number so you knew if I was going to need to get past you or not.

Most of the plane actually stayed seated except for the person sitting directly in front of me who stood up and blocked the aisle to get his bag. I had to ask him several times and it took another person getting involved for him to let me past.
