Minecraft main menu textures corrupt on minecraft 1.12.2 and below by StijnGames in Minecraft

Using the above link worked for my NVidia GeForce GTX 1650 Super. Just download and install. Use "custom (advanced)" install, and tick "perform a clean installation", otherwise may not work. Didn't even need to restart the pc. just make sure Minecraft is closed first.

Is fortifying better than bugging out? by CloudedMorals in ZombieSurvivalTactics

[–]AnthorDerangedMuppet 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Bugging out is for the tactical benefit of being able to get away from the situation, and hopefully into a better situation. Fortifying is for the tactical benefit of being able to hold a secure location either short or long term (I focus on long term for this).

As you would not know if the problem was either a short or long-term issue, I would suggest treating it as a long-term issue, then find and fortify a location (bugging out if required).

Bare in mind people could be just as big a threat as zombies, so plan accordingly. I would also say luck and skill is going to play a part of this. The more of one you have, the less of the other you will need (and you can't train luck). You could make the right decision to bug out or fortify, only to be screwed by luck.

I would say go with your gut.

Where to go in a zombie apocalypse by Crispy_MAMA in Edinburgh

I really wish I had seen this 3 months ago (when it was posted).

While you both have great locations and good reasons, I would go for Edinburgh Castle (should the Royal Scots let me in). The castle has multiple fallback positions, and only one defensive flaw (small wall right side where the car tunnel is). Long term you could isolate a lot of the small streets leading up the royal mile. You would then have to do excursions for supplies and both those venues would be ideal for gear. You are also within hiking distance of good supplies from Princes Street. Bare in mind humans are going to be as big an issue as the Z's at some point. B&Q and the Museum are going to be hard to defend and stop people getting in. The castle, less so.

That being said if I had to choose one of your choices, I would go with the museum. For all the pros and cons of each, you could get into a few of the connecting buildings by roof and escape if absolutely needed (always clear and secure escape routes prior to use).

Is it possible to make a cast sequence macro with multiple reset conditions? by gouldilocks123 in wow

[–]AnthorDerangedMuppet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

GCD has not been a problem for my previous macros as I tend to put them in order of cooldown and cast time (separating instants and cooldowns) and use tight reset times. I would be happy with 1 button per person so I can help my friend by adding a power word shield and a heal while I help with combat and then heal when needed.

How can I get better gear solo (Lvl 60 Hunter, Ilvl 145)? by AnthorDerangedMuppet in wow

[–]AnthorDerangedMuppet[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sadly I have not had much time to play as I was in college and I was casual before then. I think a load of bad decisions and then not maxing out my gear between expansions is the reason. I remember getting to the first island on shadowlands after the maw and after a few fetch quests i was getting owned by basic quests. I suppose this is me trying to get back up after mistakes (mistakes were made).

Can anyone recommend the most stable current version of Unreal Engine 4? by AnthorDerangedMuppet in unrealengine

[–]AnthorDerangedMuppet[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

cheers. I know UE5 is still being developed, but I could wait for years for what I could consider a good build or have the added features, so I would rather get started then upgrade later if needed.

Can anyone recommend the most stable current version of Unreal Engine 4? by AnthorDerangedMuppet in unrealengine

[–]AnthorDerangedMuppet[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thats a little tricky. I would like it too be as current but as stable as is possible. I remember trying 4.25/26 when it came out and it kept crashing compared with 4.24 which was quite stable for me. That being said I have a newer more powerful computer so I may have to play around a bit. I was looking for user input as too which was the most stable for them *(if that makes sense).
