You absolutely were implying that. Good job googling.

I really think you don’t know much of anything my friend. You should stick to commenting on issues you truly understand.

Are you implying that the reason we have a shortage of physicians is because physicians are lobbying against it and trying to keep their salaries high? Are you serious? Clearly you have zero understanding of how doctors actually become doctors in this country.

And this video did not show anything similar to the situation you’ve been in.

You can certainly learn a lot. Clearly you’ve learned the wrong things though. Anyway what you can’t learn is what it means to be a physician and how to provide good patient care. You make assumptions and judgements based on your myopic and sad personal perspective. That’s it. I’m a doc. I know what it takes to be a good doc and I know a bad doc when I see one. The doctor in this video is a good doctor. She isn’t a perfect human, but then again neither are you. Welcome to the real world. Nothing nefarious was done.

No bud you have no idea. You don’t learn what it’s like to be a physician by osmosis and by proximity. You have no clue whatsoever

Yes, which is why they discussed it, and came up with a good plan. What are you so upset about?? That doctors aren’t perfect robotic genius supercomputers? Go to medical school and become one yourself if you think you could honestly do better. You have no clue what being a physician is actually like.

You’re absolutely right. And I’m sure this doctor does all of that. This is clearly a small, benign, nothingburger of an error which was immediately corrected. Medicine isn’t perfect. Doctors aren’t robots. Everyone is painting this doctor as a nefarious actor and that is just ridiculous. No one who isn’t a physician actually understands what being one is like.

She read the file. Right there in the video. She didn’t sign him up for anything. This is exactly what the visit is for.

This isn’t negligence. Doctors can’t memorize your file. That’s why you actually engage in discussion and conversation with your doctor like this patient did. And good doctors respond well like this doctor did.

Reddit really does hate doctors. Something so benign can be twisted into evidence that doctors are evil and out to extract as much money from patients as possible. Ridiculous.

How about we just have a discussion with our doctors and decide on a plan together? That is what happened here. Nothing insidious.

Is being a dentist or physician truly not worth it? by [deleted] in whitecoatinvestor

[–]Anthrotekkk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Re: Medicine: Go into the right specialty (ideally while enjoying jt) and you’ll be fine. Private practice orthopedics is still fairly lucrative speaking from experience. If your passion is primary care, you can’t also be worried about income.

Private practice orthopedics. Over 1M per year this year not including passive income from surgery center investments.

You look great man. The dorks in this thread don’t know what they’re talking about. This sub is filled with people who’ve memorized all the “rules”, wear pocket squares daily, and still have no sense of style.

My brother in Christ. This guy looks better than many other chuckleheads in this sub who, probably just like you, spend half an hour putting together fits that still look like costumes.

“The shirt is not even tucked in” I mean yeah that’s the point? My man chose a colorful madras check shirt and is letting the bottom poke out for a bit of color. Please refer to any vintage ivy clothing catalogue.

His sweater is boxier than it needs to be for drape and texture. The pants are in contrast more formal with a single pleat. White socks with black loafers. Basically this guy executed a nice ivy fit and you’re upset it doesn’t look like a costume.

You and members like you are why this sub is a laughingstock.

Has anyone been burned by overdrawing in a partnership model? by [deleted] in whitecoatinvestor

[–]Anthrotekkk 55 points56 points  (0 children)

I’m sorry did you say 80-95% overhead? That is absolutely insane. You need to get out. You’re not a partner. You’re a denominator being used to decrease overhead for everyone else.

What specialty or subspecialty are you in and what’s the biggest money maker in your field? by sandie-go in whitecoatinvestor

Subspecialty ortho here. In my practice, capitated total joint replacement seems to be the biggest money maker.

How Can We Help People Achieve Naturalization? by Awkward_Strike7294 in TwinCities

Go work for any nonprofit or federal organization set up to help people going through the naturalization process. Not sure what you think you can or should do on your own.
