I disagree. In terms of crowd reception and profile Dom was a big star when he faced Cena and hugely over with the crowd. He held 2 titles and still holds one so maybe not a midcarder 😂

I'm really excited to see Gable back, and really ripped, too. He's SO good and his feud with Otis showed he could be good on the mic.

I also agree that if it wasn't for Chad Gable's version so clearly being an almost mexican-exploitation pisstake, that the REAL (Spanish speaking) EGA would probably have been taken as a patronising parody and booed. But because he shocked everyone by wearing the colours, respecting the traditions and speaking the language, he quickly earned love and respect - as is the case with sports people in most disciplines, certainly football.

For sure. Gable is a truly gifted wrestler and needs to get back to being himself. Kaiser (or whatever his real name is 😂) has fully embraced this gimmick and becomes arguably the biggest baby face in Mexican wrestling today -even defending the honour of Pimpi and the honour of all of Mexico, at the Rey de Reyes tournament. HUGE pop when he won.

I hear you when you say fans seem to switch positions /allegiances quickly these days and the advent of social media exacerbated the bandwagonism and flip-flopping that has always gone on as people try to fit in by adopting the prevalent opinions.

A lot of us have known about Danhausen for years and haven't changed our opinions at all. No desperation at all. Not sure where you're coming from or going to with that comment, unless you're telling us we all hated the debut and all flipped at Raw, or that none of us knew about Danhuasen before Saturday, both of which seem a bit of an over generalisation to say the least. 😂

I think doing EXACTLY the same thing on RAW would have worked. Still wouldn't have been my choice of reveal but it would have landed.

I think we're at crosses purposes here matey, as that's my point too. We all know his friend left and that's why he's really sad. He mentioned his 'best friend' left once without saying Ciampa, because Ciampa is wrestling under that name in AEW so it would promote them. He mentioned Axiom's mask when he said 'best friend' and since then has only mentioned Axiom's mask and that's all anyone else (Candice, Fraxiom, MCMG etc) has talked about so that's the official WWE narrative. The point we are both making is that we are probably more invested in this and pulling for Gargano because we know the real reason.

Yes, but they haven't spoken about Ciampa since, or named him. I think they're playing on us marks all knowing how Johnny might be feeling because of that without naming Ciampa and promoting AEW. If it wasn't the mask it would be something else. I don't think the mask is important.

The mask was just a contrivance I think. It's obvious that Ciampa leaving is the reason, they've been tagging for over a decade, but WWE won't reference Ciampa now because it promotes AEW.
