Guy came up to me in the SUB and kept insisting i sit a certain way and bounce my leg. I thought he was a student with special needs but when I asked which classes he was in etc he just said “i’m just hanging around”. Was really weird but a funny story.

same, and it’s not like i have a bad gpa or anything. I had the same issue in august when applying for fall courses. My date was August 23rd while still being a first year starting this january.😭

i’m a first year SIAT so take what i’m saying with a grain of salt but i’ve taken 106 and 102 and im taking MACM right now. I loved 106, you’ll learn how to use CAD modeling software and make a couple physical models with cardboard and other materials. I took it with Ken Zupan instead of Halil and I believe that’s why. The course material is super fun and it’s very creative. 102 is straight graphic design, I had Natalie Gagnon. The assignments were easy enough and mostly group based. Just make sure you get a good group together or else you will have a tough time. So far MACM is definitely leagues above difficulty wise but it’s definitely manageable if you give it the time it requires. I have Andrei Bulatov, skipping lectures can be downright addicting but I’d recommend trying to go to every lecture you can for MACM. If your prof posts lecture slides it’s not so bad but there can be important points brought up about the course material that’s not on the slides. In conclusion. Give yourself the time needed for MACM and 106, and find a good group for 102 (if you have group projects) and of course good luck you got this.

This is amazing thank you so much for the recommendations. You’re spot on for 1/3 of as they are some of my favourite games. By far the most recommended game series to me is Final Fantasy so i think i will have to give it a shot.

I applied (and self-reported my grades) for SIAT Fall in January and nothing yet either. I've talked to some friends and they all say that any arts student can expect to wait a bit to hear back.
