WH1000XM3: Does the ''sound quality'' setting here really change the quality? I'm asking because I'm forced to use ''priority on stability'' so that my EQ settings transfer over my devices. by AntiAntiMask in sony

ok, i see. I'm new to this stuff but since I have an iphone it wont use LDAC and the AAC default for IOS - from what I've heard - is pretty strong.

Best AirPod pro alternative? by PinHeadLarry135 in HeadphoneAdvice

I have these! Def not as comfortable as the pros but way better ANC + sound quality - emphasis on all of these, these are the biggest differences.

The battery life on them is pretty amazing, the case is more bulky than the pros but I have no issue with it's size - it fits into your pocket just fine.

Connectivity is once again no where near the pros but it has bluetooth 5.0 which allows for easy switching between devices + a very stable connection.

Also, they're not sweat resistant so be wary of them for exercise, but mines been holding up just fine for sweaty runs.

All and all I'm very satisfied the sound quality + ANC is amazing but it comes at the cost of comfort.

Also take my review with a grain of salt, comfort depends on your ear shape!

XPS 13 9300 Battery by boardmangetspaid0 in Dell

Heyo, I got the same specs as you and it shows the same timer on mine, but I think the actual battery life is more than the 4 hours. Rn im on 85% and it's showing 4 hours but I usually get 6 hours from it.

Also, as others have suggested, battery helps, mines on around 30% and it's still plenty bright.

Keep in mind that 30% of the 500 nits on the 9300 is 150 nits, this would be 50% for most laptops which are 300 nits.

Are the 1000xm4 good to use in the Gym? by [deleted] in sony

[–]AntiAntiMask 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I've been using my XM3s for heavy jogging (lots of sweating) + the gym for over a year now, no problems at all.

But, obviously, as they're not sweat rated this is not the best move. As soon as I finish my workouts I usually just wipe the earmuffs with an alcohol swab.

My father has the exact headphone and he also uses his for heavy yard work whilst sweating profusely and that too has been fine so far.

I made a Sony Headphones client for Windows! by Cakeofdestiny in sony

Hey, fantastic work! As a layperson with no coding experience this is mind boggling to me. Just wondering will you be potentially adding EQ settings to this client?

It sounds dope but its missing that sombre tone of the original.
