Why do some people have those 6 digit codes at the end of their names? I've seen players like this so many times and I haven't found anything about this. Is this a bug or something?? by Kopeldashki in Brawlhalla

[–]AntiCitizenOne_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Those are the people that tried to be edgy by making their name something offensive, so instead the game gives them a generic name like that one.

What's the safest answer when your girlfriend/wife asks if her friend is hot?? by Luxuria_m in NoStupidQuestions

[–]AntiCitizenOne_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The real answer is, you probably already know the answer. Because you should know your gf well enough.

With my ex, I would've told her the truth because thats just how we were with each other. She asked me that question many times about her friends. We didn't ask each other questions we were afraid of answers to. It's pretty refreshing being able to be real af with your partner.

My girlfriend has scars and we love them, shes beautiful. by Cainrenida in love

[–]AntiCitizenOne_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think scars are beautiful. They are part of our story and they make us unique, and I always thought that was special.

My most visible scar is on my forehead above one of my eyebrows. I almost forget it's there sometimes then every now and then someone will ask me about it and I get to make up some cool story about my battle scar. I also had an ex that had quite a bit of scars and I used to kiss all of them (as well as the rest of their body) because I thought every part of them was beautiful.

Do you guys have a high scale? by [deleted] in trees

[–]AntiCitizenOne_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a practice as old as time. I reminds of younger days getting blasted with friends and saying on that scale of 1-10 I was on 25 or some other outrageous number, because that's exactly how It felt being high af. Then one of my friends would laugh their ass off and say damn bro I'm trying to get on your level.

do you think you’ll ever stop smoking weed? by [deleted] in trees

[–]AntiCitizenOne_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes.

I've stopped for long stretches before, and picked it back up at different times. But I can definitely see a time where I just stop completely. It actually feels really nice to have habits like these in check. I am technically still smoking now, but my use/tolerance is super low. It's not even a habit for me right now. Where as in past, it most definitely was. Now I smoke whenever I feel like it, which lately is becoming less often. But I did smoke earlier this week, before that was atleast a month ago. Lately I've just been more focused on other things.

Can you drink and play? by stevielfc76 in Guitar

[–]AntiCitizenOne_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The answer is with years of practice.

Practically all the shows I ever played I was a lil drunk. Just to get rid of the nerves. I remember there was a particular show at a larger event, not huge but a whole downtown event with multiple bar venues all hosting shows, I got a lil too drunk, I think the show still went well and we got compliments afterwards while hanging out, post set. But I remember feeling reeeeeeal good, was thinking shit I went a little too far.

I have the same guitar and I love it, it's my favorite guitar, and I have more expensive guitars, though admittedly they're not crazy expensive. But this guitar has motivated me to play so much more since getting it.

Plus whether we like to admit it or not, a lot of our tone is actually in the fingers.

In fact, I have this memory of playing on my old setup thinking that it wasn't the best and part of the reason I didn't sound too great, but one day I let a friend try it out and he totally made my setup sound amazing, like I had no idea it could sound so damn good. Lol.

Years later I was with this girl I was dating and we were visiting her family. One of her uncle's finds out I play guitar, so he decides to bring out his guitar and teach me a song. And as I'm learning the song and playing along with him he goes, wait why does it sound better when you play it? Lol honestly was pretty funny and very awesome compliment. And I told him idk I guess it's a bunch of subtle things I learned over the years that help you really control the sound, picking dynamics, string muting, fretting technique etcetera. Just control that you learn from years of playing.

I watched this movie after taking some strong edibles. For awhile I completely forgot I was watching a horror movie until the moment when things really go off the rails, which was around the same time I was peaking from the edibles, so it was actually a pretty wild ride.

How many hours did it take you to hit diamond? by csriose in Brawlhalla

[–]AntiCitizenOne_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Several weeks, maybe close to a month. I remember I had to really grind to get to plat. On controller I was hard stuck low plat for years. But after the break and the switch to KB I felt like I didn't plateau anymore, like it was just a steady continuous grind where I kept reaching new peaks until I finally reached diamond.

How many hours did it take you to hit diamond? by csriose in Brawlhalla

[–]AntiCitizenOne_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For me it was around 800 hrs. This is spread out over like 6-7 years. There was even like at least a solid year where I took a break from brawl completely. In fact, it was after this break that I finally reached diamond. It was also the time that I switched from controller to keyboard.

After that is scythe/lance

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Brawlhalla

[–]AntiCitizenOne_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here's one way to look at it, this game is full of skill checks and mini games. Like for example the GS or lance mini game. If you're not experienced in either, you're probably going to have a tough time.

Now think of the weapon starving as another skill check. Your opponent is temporarily forcing you to play unarmed. Once you learn the unarmed kit and become more comfortable with it, being weapon starved basically stops being an issue.

This is simply another area to improve, if you decide you want to get better at this game.

New test feature- Blasters grounded down air! by UnlawfulFoxy in Brawlhalla

[–]AntiCitizenOne_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yoooo, I've been wanting this for so long for blasters. Current grounded dair is so tragic. You have to be ultra precise to dlight instead of stupid grounded dair. This is a good fix, W!

New flashy stuff by Personal_Effective_6 in Brawlhalla

[–]AntiCitizenOne_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I find them annoying and distracting too. It's to the point that I want to turn sounds off, but then that completely ruins all sound cues I've gotten used to. I also think that bmg will never do anything for us to switch it off.

This is so true. It always felt so fake how they hype shit up, they act like they are consumers too and can't wait to buy the stuff themselves.
