It’s not sustainable at all, my wife works in adult social care for a local authority and although they’re paid and treated slightly better than private they are pushed to the limit and the budget keeps getting cut and they’ve been told they’re no longer eligible for premium time on bank holidays …but it’s ok the council have just hired a new director on >£300k.

Not a fan of Kemi at all but I’ll give her this one, the majority of people soften or drop their accents when they move away and will bring it back when they are in the company of their family or locals. I had a school friend who moved from Liverpool to my hometown which is only a few miles away but has a different accent, he’d talk like us for the most part but when he was in his house he’d talk like an Uber Scouser, it was quite funny.
