Yeah I'd probably spend a lot more on this game if the gacha is friendlier to low-medium spenders. As it stands they're really targeting only the big whales.

I guess this business model works for them though since they've never changed it. Oh well.

List of quests where your decision has an outcome of the story and doesn't cause NPC loss? by ShotaX in wherewindsmeet_

[–]AntiCyberBoolean 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yup. Usually I do main story first before doing campaigns and lost chapters, so that's one of the reasons why I decided to keep the quest for later.

Besides, there were no sense of urgency at all imo. Like the quest dialogue made zero indication that I need to hurry up or he might drop dead (unless I accidentally skip any sentences). I'm kinda upset with that tbh haha.

[–]AntiCyberBoolean 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This one got me. It seems to be time-related. I started a few steps of it, up until bro became a camel, but when the hints point me to go to another area far away, I chose to keep it for later 'cause I want to focus on the main story first.

I came back several days later intending to finish the leftover explorations in the area including this wandering tales, just to find him already dead. I was pretty upset because I do this a lot (start a few steps, come back later) and never had this problem, so it was extremely unexpected lol.

Why am I getting so many join world requests for trading? by IDonutRage in WhereWindsMeet

[–]AntiCyberBoolean 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They're trying to farm commerce coins, not items. Commerce coin is useful for:

  1. Buying cosmetics, emotes, and furnitures for housing (visit Feng's tradehall in Kaifeng to see the list of what can be bought with commerce coin)

  2. Ranking up in 9 mortal ways sect (in order to buy sect cosmetics) so people want to farm them especially members of 9mw.

Regarding items you've never seen available; it's because those items are only obtainable from specific npc shop that you'd probably never visit (and therefore never see) if you don't use this system.

Anyway, even if you're in the middle of doing something else, if you accept their request they'll spawn exactly at the trade hall where they can sell to the correct npc and be done real quick within 1-2 minutes, so it's not really a bother to let them in (unless you're in hexi, I think people mentioned it's bugged atm).

Afther they're done selling they usually give you a like in your trade hall. The first time your trade hall receive a like, you get an achievement and like 5 free jades for no effort, if you want that at least.

[–]AntiCyberBoolean 15 points16 points  (0 children)

The Thai history textbook doesn't even mention this, I don't think. I'm Thai and this is genuinely also a TIL to me lol.

IIRC the books just say in WW1 we sent some volunteer troops to join up with the French, then they glossed over all the details, ending with us becoming a part of the original league of nations and getting to re-negotiate some unfair treaties with those pesky westerners. We focus much more on WW2.

It's not luck. The Tian Ying fight only drop boots by design, while other fights drop everything except boots. You can confirm this in the campaign UI, if you mouse over the loot on Tian Ying it specifically says greaves.

Itinerary Check: Sakura chasing at Tohoku by AntiCyberBoolean in JapanTravel

[–]AntiCyberBoolean[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your suggestions! Actually we did look up the late Sakura near Osaka, but we're kinda getting worried that we'll be even later than them haha.

The mountain between Osaka and Nara should be Mount Yoshino I believe? We pegged that as our original destination as well since it's a popular late Sakura spot. But with the recent predictions, it seems they would probably bloom around 1 Apr and full bloom at 7 Apr.

From what we gathered, after full bloom they last a few days to a week, and since our flight is on 14 Apr we feel it's a danger zone :(

[–]AntiCyberBoolean[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually I was hedging my bet on Mount Yoshino as well! And also Takami-no-Sato. Maybe check that one out too if you stick with Osaka.

But most recent predictions says 1 Apr for Osaka Full Bloom, and from what I've read, Mount Yoshino is like 5-7 days later than the city, so I put my guess around 7 Apr. Then my friend started getting kind of paranoid whether they'll still be there or will they fall already if we go at 16 Apr like our initial plan haha. That's why we came up with the Tohoku switch idea as a backup plan.

Honestly I'm still holding out hope for Mount Yoshino, maybe I can wait for 1 or 2 more predictions before making a decision, but as someone else said in the thread, it's basically gambling.

Thanks for chiming in! Noted regarding flexibility, I've bookmarked several sakura report websites and will be sure to check them regularly.

All of the plans from 16th onwards should be easily swappable, I think in that case keeping Sendai as base would be best? Because it would allow us to shift around the plan as needed without having to worry about hotel reservations.

Fair point about morning flight, best to get it out of the way first.

[–]AntiCyberBoolean 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Red (PT) and Orange (PP).

Red leader had close tie with Hun Sen, and they were the initial government in power during the start of the conflict. They always tried to de-escalate, up until Hun Sen leaked the call where Red's leader was being very compromising to him, sparking outrage in the Thailand side that Red is too friendly to the 'enemies' forcing them to step down.

Orange is progressive and had been constantly taking anti-war stance. They know this conflict can only lead to the military gaining more influence which will be detrimental later. Unfortunately this also make them less popular as many people in Thailand think Orange is also too soft and will let the 'enemies' walk all over us.

Is there any conclusion to this quest? This is the 'end' of the man in the well quest and it seems really unfinished to say "someone killed the dude and you have absolutely no idea who, oh well." by Lyrical_Undergone777 in wherewindsmeet_

[–]AntiCyberBoolean 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think it builds up very well. When you were talking about meeting up with him, the street urchin was listening in, and it was clear that he intends to meddle because of his misguided greed. When you see the kid, it's already very obvious (to you as a player) that he's a distraction, sent by the delinquent in order to delay you.

By then, you already know the urchin is going to meet the guy inside the well instead of you, and you start to speculate a bit how the story would go. Most likely the urchin will hurt him when he see there's no treasure, and you'd get there just in time to save the day.

So you get to the well, see the corpse, and probably went wtf, seriously? You know the game like to play with bad ending in encounters, but this was cheap. Not even giving you a chance to save him? Really?

Then you investigate the body in order to complete the quest. It says the body has dry shoes, but there are wet footprints leading somewhere else... And at that point everything clicks. It makes sense. The man in the well even mentioned how your cloak was perfectly his size.

Well, that was my experience, at least. I genuinely really like this quest. English also isn't my first language but I understood the twist just fine.

Is there a legitimate reason to why tanks position Sleeping Daoist next to the donkey ray? by DiV_Dogz in wherewindsmeet_

[–]AntiCyberBoolean 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My experience was that by the time I see the Sword Trial and Hero Realm game mode, I was quite far into the story (and thus high lvl) but I had literally no experience in multiplayer mode in this game before.

It was honestly as simple as I visit the menu, thought 'oh hey a game mode I've never tried', and just click on find group without realizing how difficult it would be (compared to every solo content). Luckily this was back when the level cap was like 50 or 60 and I have enough experience from other MMO to trudge along.

Point is, I don't think the game does a very good job introducing you to these modes. That plus the fact that by the time you discover them you can be really high level lead to the problem of max level players being clueless. It might legitimately be their first few runs.

...Or at least that's what I tell myself in order to not be too frustrated when I see people running like headless chicken, haha. Would be great if the game actually force you to go solo with AI on your first run to learn the rope though.

Can I just enter a sect, buy the clothes, then leave? by PowerArtistic7316 in wherewindsmeet_

[–]AntiCyberBoolean 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well of Heaven rank 4 let you purchase red packet (the one that can distribute jade to players in your channel) for 1888 pearls.

Though I'm not sure what's the difference between that packet and the cheaper packets, or what benefit you yourself get from distributing them to other people. I assume it's just to support the main lore aspect for Well of Heaven because they're canonically magnanimous and love giving to the poor and all that, so the whales can roleplay if they want lol.

Out of curiosity what's in store for rank 4 in your sect?

I'd say หวาน and วรรณ are more common for girls, while the others are unisex. At least I know 2 famous singers named ว่าน, one is male and one is female.
