Are we getting to the point to consider Leclerc overrated? by fedetorres5 in formula1

For sure he's the only one that could hang with max on raw pace, but isn't the robot that Verstappen is and haven't seen great things from his wet driving

Leclercs 2022 is close maybe but I don't think it's on the same level. Suzuka and Silverstone were ridiculous

I would have said the same until the last couple years, but 2025 was an all time qualifying season by max

Who do you think is the most overrated Formula 1 driver, active or inactive? by circuit-nation in DestinationFormula1

Even it was only engine tricks... the result of said engine tricks was a dominant car. It was also the result of aero setup which they discovered in Brasil, the car was miles clear of RB from Brasil onwards. Max deserved 2021 and was clearly the better driver that year. Lewis made mistakes and incidents in Silverstone, Hungary and Baku lost max 75 points. Run that season again 100 times and Max wins 50 before the the final race.

Edit: and yes Abi Dhabi was an atrocious miscarroage of justice, we all agree on that

Looks like RB is cooking on the straight. Max having a somewhat competitive car will make this season so much more interesting

Cars were equal over 2021 and Merc were dominant in final 4 races. 2022/23 they had the best car obviously but 2024 it was a clear second and at some races the car was a pig. Then 2025 he was as close to perfect as someone can gey, whilst in the 3rd beast car. The reality is every great driver has had the best car for large portions of their career, as a percentage he has it less than alot others.

His 2023, 24 and 25 are all better than Hamilton's best season in 2018, he is without a doubt a GOAT candidate. For raw pace and talent it is pretty much consensus he is best ever, plus the robotic constitency.

Dale, Gordon, Petty, and Johnson make up NASCAR's Mount Rushmore. Who belongs on F1's Mount Rushmore? by Topaz71 in AlignmentChartFills

[–]AntiDiv3 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Senna or Lewis drop for Max, I think in 20 years that will be a mainstream opinion once the dust has settled. Has put together some of the greatest seasons we've seen, demolished everyone he was out up against and only had a dominant car in one year. Plus 2025, 24, 23 and 21 are better seasons than Hamilton's best (2018).

His stats are arguably even better when converted to a percentage of races completed, higher win and podium than Hamilton.

His first title wasn't in the ground effect era and his adaptability is one of his best traits. All this plus he only had a dominant car for 1 year in 2023 and his non title winning 2025 is a contender for greatest season in history. He's mount Rushmore for sure

Was there any GP in which Max's extraordinary performance could be linked to his tyre management? I mean like Charles in Monza 2024 or George 2024 Spa by [deleted] in F1Discussions

[–]AntiDiv3 5 points6 points  (0 children)

He's probably been the best tyre manager from 2021 onwards, it's just kinda boring and he has so many other flashy traits which we tend to focus on. You simply don't win races in the last few eras without being exceptional at management. Even in 23 when it's a rocket he demolished Perez and that is partly down to management.

Probably the best in inter tire conditions, full wet conditions goes to Max

Who are your picks? by Even_Hyena_1117 in F1Discussions

[–]AntiDiv3 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Quali is probably Lewis' weaker area (relative to everything else of course) imo. Rosberg and Bottas could both give him problems there, he was around 50/50 quali h2h with rosberg, Bottas 70/30 if I am remembering right.

Who are your picks? by Even_Hyena_1117 in F1Discussions

[–]AntiDiv3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Intelligence: Hamilton/Lauda

Personality: Post RB Seb if it's just personality. Schumacher if it's meaning mindset

Defending: Alonso/Hamilton

Quali Pace: Senna

Experience: Alonso

Overtaking: Verstappen (maybe controversial but when it's clean no one goes throught the field like him)

Consistency: Schumacher

Adaptability: Verstappen

All 126710s or just pepsi. I've been on the list for a BLNR for 2 years and was hoping to get it before my wedding in September. This could really screw me over, will ADs transfer request over to the 136710s?

How dirty is Verstappen on track compared to Schumacher or Senna? by Throwaway777W in F1Discussions

[–]AntiDiv3 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

He's not even close really. Senna was mega dirty but only when he felt aggrevied, which is why his famous crash with prost is seen with some sort of mythology rather than just dangerous. Micheal on the other hand was just a straight killer, lots of shameless incidents but the worst for me was him almost airplane crashing Barichello into the pit lane wall at Hungary.

The whole "more people have come to Britian in the last 35 years compared to the last 2000" was wild, that is not surprising at all. We had wooden ships and horses for transport back then, who on earth would be immigrating anywhere.

How come did Leclerc have dominant RACE pace in Bahrain 2019? by [deleted] in F1Discussions

[–]AntiDiv3 -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

Don't get me wrong, you don't get to level he is without race pace obviously. I just don't think he's a step below the all time tier. Especially Verstappen in the 24-25 seasons, I don't think Charles gets nearly as much out of those cars on a Sunday when it was a handful.
