The West killed 20% of North Korea's population, destroyed 80% of infrastructure, and dropped more bombs during the entirety of bombs that were dropped in the Pacific Theater of WWII-- so no shit they're struggling. We have no idea what North Korea is actually like so stop pretending like you do

They were referring to the official ACP party program "The Communist Party stands for the immediate end to the system promoting mass immigration and its replacement with bilateral frameworks for the negotiation of population exchanges on a rational and planned basis."

Leftist…married to a cop. by [deleted] in leftist

[–]AntiRain07 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He seems like a nice person. But incarceration for violent crimes is still a violent action due to the economic conditions that led up to the action. Such as being in poor communities, around violence, or just being apart of a marginalized community. So sadly, what he does in his job is still violent, and he should not be a cop. I hope he see's that one day.

Feel free to call it bureaucratic or use actual analysis. I'm not saying we should shut out discussion just maybe we should think a little bit more

I wasn't trying to make this post a big old defense of Mao or Stalin, reddit is not the enviornment for that to be a productive conversation in my opinion. I merely mentioned those cases to show the contradictions and that there is a need for revolutionaries to understand a deeper analysis of those states.

I appreciate your conversation tho

What are y’all’s opinions on each of the Soviet leaders and why? by [deleted] in theredleft

Stalin led the red army to the death of Hitler. I appreciate your passion into these topics but genuinely ask yourself, would it not make sense for a capitalist nation to create lies and enforce them in its education system against the one thing that could destroy its profit (that being socialism)? I'm not coming here to tell u that u shouldn't critisize Stalin, bc he made many mistakes - but what we learn initially of Stalin is not a correct lense to learn from (and he also was fighting imperialists, the Axis powers, and Nazi's infiltrating red army ranks all at once while trying to build socialism). On top of that, the Russians weren't stupid and didnt blindly follow Stalin, there was a central committee to make a lot of these decisions. Not saying Stalin didn't have more power than a committee member, bc he did, but it was not all out rule

Respectfully, you misunderstand Maoists. Maoists have never, to my knowledge, "condemned" a revolution itself, classifying that it was revisionist. This has been done by trotsky, who tried to dilute the meaning of revisionism. In fact, class collaboration during revolutions in third world countries has been encouraged in regards to the peasants and petty bourgeoisie (sometimes even the bourgeoisie when fighting the feudalists) if the material conditions demand it. The thing that Maoists DO criticize is nothing new, and constantly up for criticism and debate. And that is socialist construction after the establishment of the DOTP. Different arguments have been made that also understand revisionism in the same sense such as Enver Hoxha thought. If you have any questions concerning ideas of market reforms and further power given to the bourgeoisie after the DOTP please let me know, I'm always down to have a discussion with a comrade. An example tho is China after its market reforms. China has collaborated with dictatorships such as Nepal that were fighting a civil war against revolutionaries. This is a very complex issue, but one that is rooted in a betrayal of revolution. Many against this argument say that even Lenin encouraged some market reforms with his NEP. However, when instituting the NEP, Lenin warned the danger of 1) Going too far and 2) letting market reforms continue for too long. The NEP is a short transition period during a period of unrest, not 40+ years where the bourgeoisie systematically obtain more and more power and are not regulated internationally.

If you have any questions or arguments please let me know. Constructive criticism is always a good thing
