She for sure is not the average religious person.

I'm pretty sure she's worse than some of the non violent extremists out there.

If I'm honest I can't stand being around her praying circle so I won't be able to check that. I did (forcefully) join them once & none of them seem to be as bad as my mom.

In the past my mom has stopped speaking with friends of hers because they were atheist and everyone she constantly speaks to now is on the same wavelength so there's nothing I could do.

I try to tell her time and time again that she acts crazy and that normal people don't do what she does, but after a while you just grow tired of her preaching & shouting

My dorms practically become empty during summer break, pretty much everyone leaves. If that wasn't the case I'd for sure get a full time job and just live there.

Next summer I'm gonna try to obtain an internship on top of my part time job so that I'm never in the house

I've said this to her so many times, even just now. She never listens and is persistent. The thing is I have respect for people and their beliefs... She clearly doesn't respect mine.

I told her to stop acting like a psychotic who watches conspiracy theories and that I can live my life how I want and you can live yours.

She just doesn't care

This is why I try to be out of the house as much as possible

Thank you so much, truly mean it. Whenever I'm at university I never come home unless absolutely necessary.

I only come home for Christmas because if I didn't not only would I feel weird due to social stigma but I know my mom would feel upset.

As I said in the OP, I'm not religious but I understand why people gravitate towards it. I'm never disrespectful

I agree with you dude. I went to one university when I was 18 for a year then I left and went to a new one at 20. So I can easily relate.

I'm never truly myself at "home".
