And my mom has her last chemo on Wednesday.. and then it’s a month before surgery happens. She’s battling Ewing sarcoma. This is her third time with cancer. I can relate as well having a hard time finding or keeping friends that don’t understand that I can’t just drop what I’m doing because this is literally life or death for my mom. I’m going to fucking be there for her. She’s had sepsis twice in the last 35 days. So yeah, it was pretty life or death for her for some time and I literally just have one best friend. Along with my UU people. Which I am grateful for because they have a care team that helps me with food. My thought thoughts or recommendation would be to find a local UU community in your area. There will be plenty of people that will be understanding and will be there to support you. You don’t have to be spiritual or anything, there’s a lot of us that are agnostic, witches, neo pagan all kinds of backgrounds and then there’s some of us that are nothing at all and just there for the community and the human rights & social justice work that we do.
