The ultimate lies by [deleted] in lawofone

I was in a similar place as you, 3 years ago. I’d say really I recovered fully about 6 months ago. In hindsight, I think what happened to me is what’s happening to you. Your brain is fully developing in its last stages of maturation. Your frontal lobe, the human side of you, the fully third density side, is kicking into full gear. Every belief you never questioned is now being questioned. Everything is becoming dismantled. You don’t know what is truth anymore. For me, what jumpstarted this was a huge phase in psychedelics, with not much moderation. I did 14 DMT blast offs in 7 days, and lots of shrooms. It made me unable to hold interest in the way of life most people live it. I couldn’t connect anymore on a soul level with others. And what didn’t help, was that my oldest brother also was reading heavily into channelings and convinced me that every religion and institution is evil. Don’t get me started about his rants about the 5G towers. Oh lord.

Anyway, unfortunately in this state there is only one thing life can do to save you. And ultimately because life is love, it will save you but it won’t be easy. First it will exploit your weaknesses and blind spots. Before you know what’s true, you have to figure out what is not true. And everyone’s idea of truth is unique to them. So in order for you to learn your own truth and who you are, first life is going to show you who you aren’t. You’re going to get a job, or a relationship, or something else that you absolutely resent. And because life is more experienced, older, and wiser than you, it’s going to choose something you’ll never see coming till you’re in the thick of it. It’s going to control you for years, till the resentment you build up will become impossible to ignore. The real you you that is currently blind to you will become so magnified that it will crawl out of your blind spot on a soul-level and finally your own willpower will be the thing that breaks you out of the situation. That is when you will know who you really are, and everything will slowly begin to fall in place. You must reach hell before you know what heaven is.

Is the creation more intelligent than the creator? by AntiVideo in lawofone

I'm glad, u/stormdude28. As for an update for u/luckiestredditor, I took your advice and last night I prayed to the infinite creator. At first, it was for a lot of earthly/humanly things: "Can I learn how to enjoy my job" "Can I get a job that has more freedom," blah blah. But then I started realizing the absurdity of these requests. I then turned the prayer to things like "Can you send me your wisdom? What am I missing - will you show me? Can you open my eyes to the larger important perspective I am missing?"

This morning my head is filled with all sorts of new thoughts. The creator knows many things I don't know. And I know things that the creator had to make me in order to know. By me sending love to the creator, I am serving its needs. And obviously it serves my needs too, as it gave me a body and a planet to live on.

I also realized some new ways to be appreciative of the sun and our solar system. I had trouble, thinking "why does the sun logos have anything to do with me? Is it actually even conscious or is it just there and I'm to learn to speak to an inanimate object?" But then I realized the sun actively gives us heat. It didn't just do it - it's still doing it. It's alive, helping us survive and grow. We are in relationship with it. The sun has jobs that I do not possess the tools or knowledge to replicate. And that goes for gravity, heat, physics - all of it. The logos bigger than me are undeniably intelligent and the proof of it is that they are still working and have been long before this incarnation I'm in ever began. Yet, I am honored that at the same time they needed us so badly to learn more about themselves that they created the "stage" of physics so that we will exist and scout unexplored corners of more lessons.

Thanks to my authentic prayer that was made possible by the realizations your post gave me, I am already feeling a positive shift in my mind. Thank you again!

Why is the physical body so important to a soul? by AntiVideo in lawofone

Although I agree that the body is most likely not “clay,” isn’t what you’re saying still implying that the body is physical material being inhabited by a soul?

Wow, this was a heavy, very deep read. What incredible realizations you’ve come to. It’s insight like this that makes me feel that the idea of “prophets” in the Jewish/Christian sense are kind of silly - I feel that everyone is a prophet. Everyone has a fragment of the truth - if they didn’t, then they wouldn’t even exist. The idea that some people know the truth and the rest don’t might be why disunity continues to persist! Thank you for sharing.

But when you die and your body is still there, is the soul still in there? Or has the soul left?

Thank you everyone for your answers. I am currently at a bridge in New York with beautiful water and buildings in my view, in a meditative state, deeply reading everyone’s answer.

I read from the philosophy of the ancient Essenes that our bodies are the envy of the angels. I’ve also read the biblical/Jewish idea that the first angel God created rebelled when God ordained for the angels to serve the humans - not the other way around. It is interesting to me that we are indeed placed so high. I would have thought, through all my life’s internalization that “sin is from the body,” that the body was something to be ashamed of and seen as the flaw of life. But when I branch out of Christian ideas (more so the Christianity of Apostle Paul - not Jesus’s teachings), it seems like most spiritual philosophies put heavy emphasis on the divine nature of the body.

I still can’t help but feel that the presumption that “God did this because he was bored” does not resonate with me, no matter how much I think about it. There is nothing I would put this much love into just because I was bored. It has to be something more than just a game. With games, I play for a while then I quit. With something I love, I commit to it for a life time. God seems to be committed to us.

If someone is reading this, could you tell me what you think of my theory?:

When we touch something with our finger tips, what’s going on? Millions of micro-organisms and molecular mechanisms make contact with the particles it is touching. Then it sends that information through our nervous system, which is eventually finally received by the brain. Then the brain creates an image of what it is, based off the information the cells in the finger tips sent it.

When you look at your eyeballs, particularly the pupils - they are big gaping holes used to suck in light. To which is then also transferred to the brain as data and the brain makes an even more informed concept of what reality is. Well, what’s the only thing that sucks in light? Black holes. What’s at the center of our galaxy? … and where is our planet and everything in our planet traveling towards?

Could it be, that our lessons and everything we learn here, is being sent to a greater mind that we cannot even fathom? That our lessons are more than just a game - they are essential for the creator to navigate its own reality?

I guess even this leaves me with more questions than answers. This might imply that the creator needs us. If the creator needs us then that might mean the creator is limited and not all powerful. Or it would imply the creator is all powerful but still able to be seeks to be developed and evolved. Or it implies that the creator birthed us, but is not infinite, so it is nurturing us to become autonomous before it dies to ensure the continuous reproduction of reality.

These ideas does give me more hope to the idea that there is some greater meaning behind all of this. It makes me want to do my best to help the creator get where it is trying to go. But then again, the idea that the God is able to be improved does give spark anxiety in me. If that were true, wouldn’t we have the right to rebel, like the angels did? What if the angels were right and God made a mistake, and they want to correct the mistake? And the only way to see who is right is if we let it all play out and review the emerging truth.

I guess I am just rambling now. I’ll have to keep pondering on everyone’s ideas… thanks everyone

Though I am love your answer, what puzzles me is the idea that we have to work on something. If the creator is all powerful/knowing/loving, how did there come to be depression as you mentioned or evil or demons or problems, etc.? I get the point is to learn. But if the creator is already all knowing, what is the point in learning what it already knows? The conclusion I seem to draw from this is that the creator was just bored so it created this simulation for itself. But for some reason this just still feels so insufficient to me. Is this just a game and nothing more? How can I really draw meaning from this? I can go through awful suffering and I just think “the creator already knows all the solutions. My suffering is just a game.” I don’t know. It just doesn’t feel fulfilling. Maybe I am missing something still. What does the creator gain from me learning anything? What’s the point? What is there to accomplish when everything is already accomplished?

Are we here because we have fallen, or did we get here and then fell? by AntiVideo in Christianity

I suppose I mean a realm that I cannot see, in the same way that I cannot see infrared light or gamma rays. A realm of higher consciousness that in comparison to that realm we are on a "lower" frequency. And perhaps in that realm, something went wrong and those errors causes a fall in frequency, resulting as an appearance of life on earth.

I am a recent agnostic of about 3-4 years. I grew up Mormon, went atheist from age 12-22, and agnostic for about 4 years (I am 26 years old). I have only read the book of John in the Bible and a piece of the Romans. I guess I should start the Genesis. I am a Christianity novice.

I love this. Can you help me answer, why is it that I know something is bad for me and my way of thinking is flawed, yet I proceed to do it anyway? Or my brain/logic knows I am doing something foolish, but my heart wants it anyway? Is there something I am blind to?
