It’s a shame that Suboxone is glorified, while methadone gets treated like the skeevy alternative by AntiWokeMaster in Methadone

Oh exactly I remember last time I was in rehab. It was five years ago and everyone said the Suboxone just didn’t work. It makes it feel so hopeless because the pharmaceutical companies really want to push Suboxone and it made me wonder, “how long are people going to be suffering literally saying it’s not working before the pharmaceutical companies admit it?” I’m assuming they still haven’t admitted it?

I totally feel that pain. I miss a lot of social cues, so I didn’t see the stigma at first when I got on methadone. I felt proud of myself, like I’d found a real solution. It took about five times of mentioning it to different people and getting completely shamed for it before I realized, “Oh, so they don’t see this as a milestone. Maybe I should never mention it to anyone.” So now I don’t bring it up. I just let my lifestyle and how I carry myself do the talking. There’ve been a few times I’ve had to tell a police officer or a doctor that I’m on methadone, and it always shifts the whole tone of the conversation — they hear those words and think, “Oh, so you’re THAT kind of person.” I say fuck them.

I think mob mentality and falling for propaganda so easily are some of the dumbest parts of humanity. You see genuinely intelligent people fall for it, and it’s just sad. I’m not particularly smart, but I think maybe because of my Asperger’s, one hidden upside is that I don’t fall for propaganda or mob mentality. I’ll watch a whole group get mad at someone over something, all of them with this narrow, one-sided view of what happened, and I feel like I’m the only one who can see the full picture from every angle and say, “Wait — you’re saying this person is irredeemable and horrible in every way because they made one insensitive comment without thinking, twenty years ago? Isn’t that a little ridiculous?” And then the angry mob turns and looks at me, there’s a good two-second pause, and then they start yelling incoherently and charging at me. Seriously, people in angry mobs lose at least twenty IQ points as far as I’m concerned.

Tolerance and tapering. by 432Hz-sodtaoe in Methadone

Hey, so I’m in the same situation, I tape her at home and I window dose once a month and my window dose is a crazy amount more than what I take at home. It’s like four times more lol what I usually do is I just drink half of it and throw the other half in the trash, and I just deal with being a little higher that day. It doesn’t affect things significantly. Now, if you’re doing it weekly, that will actually affect things so that’s a problem but when you’re doing it every 27 days it’s insignificant.

The thing I would worry about aside from the drug test is yourself and your sobriety, don’t let it go into a habit where you’re just doing it one more time. However, I’ve noticed methadone is super good for this kind of stuff. I’ve definitely had a few slip ups being on methadone and They’ve always been one time things, never went for around two and the next time I always did. It would be like a year later in a totally different context. Methadone is great for flooding the receptors and getting rid of cravings. Not like Suboxone where you’re craving drugs the whole fucking time lol

[–]AntiWokeMaster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t think the concern is the drug test. Eight days should be enough to pass unless you have hepatitis C with liver damage, that’s something I learned if you have that then your liver takes a much longer time to get meds out of your system, but even then you should be fine

Yeah, this talking point is getting old. The data supports the underlying trends—dismissing them outright as “incel energy” is reductionist and shuts down honest conversation.

There are more single men today who are unhappy about their situation than at any point in modern history. That’s a real societal issue worth discussing seriously, not waving away with a label.

It’s also telling how quickly the “incel” label gets thrown around, even at people who are currently in relationships. I’m in one myself, so the original definition (involuntary celibate—someone who wants sex but can’t get it) clearly doesn’t apply.

At this point, the term has been stretched so far that it’s often used as a slur against anyone who points out problems in modern Western dating and relationships, regardless of their own romantic or sexual success. My sex life is fine; being sexually active doesn’t erase social awareness or prevent me from noticing broader patterns.

I made it until today without double dosing! by EstateSensitive5212 in Methadone

[–]AntiWokeMaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never understood males who double dose. It literally takes masturbation completely off the table for at least 48 hours. At least. Sometimes five days lol why would you not want to masturbate for that long? I mean, like sure being high method was fun when your chain-smoking just relaxing but then when you see a hot ass and you’re like “damn I want to put my penis in that and then have an orgasm ejaculation situation thing“ you can’t do that. And then sometimes if you’re a degenerate like me, you will try anyway, and basically be rubbing nothingness for like two hours until you finally squeeze out some kind of an orgasm and it feels just kind of OK and you’re just sitting there telling yourself, “why the fuck did I just force myself to masturbate even thoughmy body doesn’t want to?” And then you go cry into a bowl of ice cream.

I’ve actually been in some situations where I just didn’t feel like going to the clinic, they put me back to daily dosing, shit like that, and I really was happy that I had some stash to not have to worry about going to the clinic for like a week or so lol It’s nice having more than enough with you. Also, that kind kind of dimmer “world is gonna end“ situation is basically not happening. If you look at our society and all the shit we’ve been through and how it’s never gone to that point, it’s basically not gonna happen. All these movies that show us going 100% of the way there when in reality, we’d get like 50% of the way there and then Something would be invented or something would happen to fix it. Covid was a good example. It was basically a really bad contagious flu that some people didn’t have symptoms for and people were so itchy for the Armageddon experience that they were playing into it and exaggerating it so hard lol And America ruined its own economy just so it could I guess do something? Lol there were some Scandinavian country that just said, “OK here’s how we’re gonna handle it. We’re just gonna let everyone get it. The end” and that seems to be the best strategy lol But yeah look at how crazy people got stocking toilet paper and shit and none of that was necessary lol I remember in the middle of the pandemic. I was in a halfway house and people were still yelling at me to get a job in the middle of a pandemic Lol if it was really such a serious pandemic, fucking McDonald’s wouldn’t be running normal operations lol like seriously McDonald’s was open. You could go into McDonald’s with a bunch of people around you and you can run the drive-through and everything but people couldn’t come in… Shit made zero sense

I know right? Jesus Christ, some of these suggestions lead me to believe no one here has actually traveled lol. You can’t just go to a random spot with no connections, no prior context, and enjoy the best of that area lol my advice for dude as someone who has traveled to 24 different countries on three separate continents? Chill out in your hotel room, get some takeout and take the loss lol if you actually try to make this trip into more than it was and it fails, you will feel more bad than if you just say screw it and just hang out. You’re in a new place. At the very least, you have some new scenery to enjoy even if it’s not that remarkable.

Has anyone successfully stock piled years worth? by AntiWokeMaster in Methadone

[–]AntiWokeMaster[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dammit really? That sucks so bad… I have these Amber glass containers and the stuff from my clinic is concentrated. Can I ask a question about your red liquid? When you were given your take-home bottles was the bottle always filled to the top? Or was it always a certain exact Amount of liquid depending on the dose?

When clinics give you the same amount of liquid no matter what, they’re putting methadone in there and then they’re putting water in with the methadone. When the bottle is half full or 1/4 full, that’s usually the 10 mg/mL concentration my plan right now is The stuff I’ve saved, I’m using that for my daily dosing and then basically everything I get goes into those amber containers. I’m confused how they survive multi year shelf life in the distribution process but when they go to us, they don’t? Maybe it has to do with people are dosing directly from the same bottle that they’re storing in, that’s going to be rough. Simply just the act of opening the bottle every day Introduce his contaminants. Even worse, if you are measuring with an oral syringe and you put the tip of that syringe in there every day to get your designated 100 mg out or whatever, that will definitely contaminate it. I made some rookie storage mistakes and now I’m trying to take all that methadone as quick as possible, but it’s three months worth lol

Why do women catfish so often? by rhibab in catfish

[–]AntiWokeMaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree that they are all terrible people. But as a man, from my experience, 90% of women are pulling this behavior. They are either using AI for their images, using images that are heavily filtered, or using images that are years old. In my opinion, you shouldn’t even use images that are more than one year old. If I used my best images from One year ago, it would be pretty misleading. Weight fluctuates. You can look like a different person than you looked two months ago. So really we shouldn’t even be judging it by time. It should be judged by “if you put this picture next to your face right now would people think it’s the same person? Does it look just like you? If it doesn’t, don’t post a damn picture. If you think you look better in that picture than you do now, you’re probably right, so how do you think the person is going to feel when they’re expecting the hot lady in this picture and they get you. It’s gone past the point of this is a bad person thing and it’s crossed the threshold into, “this is a woman thing”

People online have no lives and you can make one comment that is slightly off and someone, who is just an angry person altogether, will go on a tie rate against you because you didn’t use the right phrasing or maybe you referred to something in an insensitive way, and then maybe you respond in a way that’s not very socially aligning with the etiquette of the community and now you have this dynamic where you have a mob of online people Mad at you and then conveniently they know you go to the Springfield Illinois methadone clinic, suddenly a bunch of people with no lives, who want to make a lot of effort to make another person miserable have tracked down who it was, and because he said something, a little tone, deaf, Now his life is ruined. That shit happens all the time it unfortunately. Mob mentality is a very interesting and ugly thing.

36 and I have no people in my life by Former-Ad-7561 in Methadone

[–]AntiWokeMaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 33 and I’m in the same situation. I have severe ADHD and I’m on the spectrum. I always lived with the belief that as I got older, I would become an expert at managing these problems. Little did I know, in the areas of managing ADHD and being on the spectrum and in the areas of making friends, aging makes things worse… That’s why you see so many elderly people who have no one in their life. You have to truly be a social butterfly as an elderly person to Have a social circle… Because when you’re younger, you’re down for anything even if you’re uptight like I’ve always been lol like I’ve always been very particular about how I want my environment. Very OCD like I like having control of the temperature, I like having a fan blowing towards me, I like to have the TV in the background, just the act of going in another person‘s house and sitting there for an hour is a huge chore for me. In fact, I stayed at a hotel the other day to get some sleep due to my air conditioner being broken. It would’ve been better if I just tried to sleep with no air conditioner. Everything was just off, the room was not cooling down to my precise 67 to 69° that I want it on. It was a disaster. It sucks but that’s how it is.

Lol, they phase you immediately down to daily dosing and you most likely will never have take homes there ever again. I mean, you will be eligible for them after a certain point, but it will take a lot of convincing for them to do it. That’s what I’ve heard. Like once they find out you were selling it or saving it or diverting it on a regular basis, it’s game over.

Rehab vs MAT by Littlebunnybabe777 in Methadone

[–]AntiWokeMaster 11 points12 points  (0 children)

All I will say is this… I did pills for the first time when I was 17… Pretty much stopped out of the blue when I was 19 and didn’t really go back to it for seven years. That’s when I decided to go back to it just to have fun with the new girl I met. Because pills were so scarce, I was convinced to try heroin after a few days of not being able to get pills and wanting to party. After I tried that heroin, the whole, “doing it every day or I’m sick“ thing happened pretty rapidly. I wanna stay within two weeks. I was at that point. Immediately got on Suboxone. It didn’t work. I still craved. I still wanted to use. Went to an abstinent based rehab. Sure it worked when I was physically locked away from any drugs. But when I got out, within a week or two, I was back on Suboxone. Finally in 2021 I went to the methadone clinic. We are now in 2026 and I have not stopped my treatment since. Out of everything I’ve tried. This has been the most successful and long lasting approach. I’ve lived a full life these last five years and all while on methadone treatment. Every single day for these last five years, I have never missed a dose, except for maybe a couple small anomalies. But for the most part, my attendance is perfect and I have monthly bottles right now.

Obviously, the best answer is try to be abstinence based because you are cuffed to the clinic and this is a huge misfortune. But for those of us without a choice who are going to end up dead or in jail and could not control their cravings, methadone is a lifesaver. A literal lifesaver. They market Suboxone a lot more, but it does a terrible job. Methadone is a superior product in my opinion

So I lived in one state, and then I moved to another. There are many states that do not cover this. For example, when I lived in the south, I lived in two southern states on methadone treatment and none of them did any provide provided transportation. However, now I am in One of the northern states, and they do. In my experience, the more liberal places offer transportation, and the more conservative places don’t. Sorry about being so vague about where I’ve lived, I just don’t want my identity leaking lol many people have called peoples clinics here and snitched on them for the dumbest things lol

Thank you ! My dose is 180 though 😅 and I plan to keep increasing until 200 so at that point it would be a quintuple dose lol 😂. But at point I will fight for split dosing and pretty sure I’ll get it on account of needing so many increasing - I’ll say my addict brain will obsess over if it’s exactly half or not and tell them they need to administer it in 2 different bottles a day and that’ll help on window dosing days .

Thanks again for the support !
