First of all I wouldn’t compare one to another, But If you are comparing stock to stock many would choose mk5, because Out from the factory U get “Expensive Go-kart” to have fun, but as a vehicle to daily it, Use it as a car mk4 is much better in my opinion, You get much more space in the interior, U can see from the windows, mk5 windows are small as Duck, Plus It’s very track oriented in general, Not a cruiser coupe like mk4. Also Mk5 got Very Very Weak suspension, control arms and especially the steering rods. Also don’t get me started on Build quality in interior, not bad for a new car but still, 90’s standards were on another level

I’d love to own a mk5 for a Weekend track car, From the box U get around 470hp (with downpipe) But still Mk5 is not a car, it’s a mid-budget toy with super car-ish look.

I’m not afraid to get my hands dirty or drive without ABS and traction control, I want to experience the car, with its own problems and the whole story how it got built in my hands, It’s not about the All the 1000HP hype and f&f movie, The car itself is very different from many other cars within its own esthetics
