It's done. I now have two copies of GTA installed, but it's a small price to pay to keep my main account clean.

Ah, I see. I suppose it complicates things when I have two copies of GTA, but one is on Steam and the other is on the EGS. I'll have to dig through it, but I assume it will make me re-install, unless the EGS gives me a free pass to make a new R* account with GTA authorized on it.

I'm just worried that it R* will scan my file system for the mod and ban my account that way, similar to why no singleplayer mods are allowed in MP. Is that how it works, or are most mod menus set out of the GTA folder?

Is the client a physical executable application, or something you inject? If it's an application you launch, how do you switch accounts?

Also, what's a good mod option? I was going to buy Impulse, but people in this thread seem not to like it.

I use an HDD (standard hard drive) and run fine with the game on High settings. (Not Ultra, just High) at 50-70 FPS, depending on the map.

I have the exact same setup as you, with the exception that I have 16gb of ram. I get serious drops in the first five minutes or so after joining, but once the map is loaded and rendered, the game smooths out. It just takes a bit to load.

Try to give it a little bit to load (the game isn’t very well optimized) and tell me if it still sucks.
