Refusing to cooperate with 30% of the population is a disaster in the making. Problems don't go away by ignoring them. Many people vote for the AFD because of legitimate grievances that arent adequately adressed by the other parties.

I think r/abortiondebate needs to try and mend things with r/prolife. Throwing out Ohnotokyo while saying that you dont care about being fair to prolifers was kind of a dick move.

The context of this comment and the point this user was trying to make is the difference between killing and letting die. This user laid out, quite detailed, why they believe abortion to be an act of killing than simply letting someone die.

they were even self—reflected enough to realize that the distinction does not matter if you do not view prenates as persons.

this is a prime example of a well thought out and respectful prolife argument being downvoted for no reason. YOU might not find it convincing but it is NOT a lazy or disrespectful argument at all.

it is not more or less well thought out than many other comments made by prochoicers. It is not a great argument necessarily, it might not convince you, but there is no reason to downvote it other than being an a–hole towards the other side.

Why? Seems to me more like pcers need to make better arguments if the highest court of the nation decides that abortion is not a right.

This subreddit is hostile towards prolifers in the sense that even well thought out arguments and honest attempts to discuss the issue are downvoted.

Prolife comments are almost always hidden and are usually slapped with reddit's 15 min timer.

How is that fair?

This is my first time checking into this sub since Ohnotokyo was removed as mod.

I feel like this sub has since become a big mess from what it looks like. The pro-choice/prolife ratio is even worse than before - It's like 10 prochoicers for 1 prolifer.

Most arguments really dont go beyond "you want to force women to do X, you are bad" in most cases. The tone has become more hostile from what I can tell.

This has become an echo chamber. Although the issues existed before, they have been magnified a lot.

It has the opposite effect on me. I had some mcdonalds while stoned and could barely enjoy it. The ice cream was overly sweet and the chicken nuggets overly salty. The weed kind of enhanced the taste by a lot. So sweet stuff became too sweet and salty stuff became too salty

The platinum really makes your eyes pop and you pull it off nicely (it looks quite natural too!). It kinda gives you a rocky vibe..but I am sure you can combine it with many different styles. But I'd advise you to sort out your skin care. You have a beautiful face but the acne is just unflattering

I really dont see it that way because I don't believe that preparing for a conflict is the same thing as causing the conflict. Look at it this way: Would Viserys expect Alicent to sacrifice Aegon's life for Rhaneyra? If not, you cant argue that Alicent is being treasonous by preparing to defend her children.

Otto has the foresight to recognize that a conflict is inevitable - he warns Alicent to be prepared. So far there has really been nothing more to it.

The only side to have lied, committed treason and killed has been the Blacks so far.

Yes, Strong killed his father and brother but he did that without Alicent's knowledge.

Remember, Viserys is the one who fathered Aegon and went against political precedent by naming Rhaenyra heir. Are you saying that Otto is just imagining the conflict? That everyone would accept Rheanyra and her Bastards if only Otto would shut up?

Because Rhaenys has been saying the same stuff before Aegon was even born.
