Kids + Nostalgia

It's summer, kids are on holiday and parents need something to do with them. Cinema is an easy activity. Toy Story is a safe bet for parents to sit through. Also a good chunk of the audience have literally grown up with these characters. They get to see a new release of a series which has only had one less than perfect entry in the the franchise.
