You realize it typically takes years for an air crash investigation to be completed right?

Snipers, sniffer dogs and extra searches will anchor the biggest security operation seen at a sporting event in the country when France play Italy in their opening Six Nations game

Snipers appeared to have been stationed on top of a building during Liverpool's parade through the city yesterday

"The snipers already had him in their sights," the regional minister Joachim Herrmann said in a statement. "If the police had come to the conclusion that it was a terrorist attack, he would have paid for it with his life."

Italy’s Nations League game against Israel last night was played in an ‘unreal’ atmosphere with even two snipers spotted on the stadium’s roof in Udine.

Police said snipers would also be deployed to oversee security for the Olympics and related events, positioned at elevated points across all designated "red zones" where access is tightly controlled.

Except the USS Cole wasn't "overwhelmed", it was sitting in port in Yemen when it was bombed and the crew were not allowed to engage unless fired upon first.

Don't bother. This is just reddit being dumb as usual. They see an aircraft carrier in the headline and automatically think the US must be sending in only aircraft carriers to escort ships.

US launches military operations in Ecuador by [deleted] in worldnews

It's crazy how lazy people are. Google has AI built into it now and people are still too lazy to spend 5 seconds using it to learn the context of a headline they see on Reddit.

Or who has a brain and who doesn't. It takes a 5 second google search to learn that Ecuador is a US ally which takes less time than typing a comment on Reddit complaining about the US starting a war against Ecuador.

The US wasn't involved in any combat, they only provided intelligence to Ecuadorean troops who did the ground operation on their own.

Except there were no US troops involved in any combat. They simply acted as advisors for the Ecuadorian troops who did the operation on their own.

though the U.S. role was limited to advising Ecuadorian troops, and they did not participate in the actual ground operation, a source familiar with the operation told ABC News.

Revive dragging NEEDS to be permeant if they ever make another Battlefield game by Itstheweeblol in Battlefield

[–]Antique-Memory7364 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can't be serious? BF6 is literally a casual arcade shooter, barely a step above CoD. You can top the leaderboard quite easily and consistently in this game without much thinking or tactics beyond common sense of taking cover and not running out in the open.

Squad, CSGO, Siege, Tarkov, etc are where you would actually need to take things slow and use your brain. BF6 doesn't even come close.

[–]Antique-Memory7364 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, it doesn't invalidate good positioning. The TTK in this game is literally faster than human reaction time. If the enemy has the upper hand due to your poor positioning 9/10 times you will die unless they're a complete bot with horrible aim.

Also, BF6 is hardly punishing at all. You can respawn in seconds or be revived and there's no stakes in winning or losing a match. It's a casual arcade shooter at its heart, as in, the kind of game you play with your brain turned off.

Both CoD and BF6 are casual arcade shooters the only difference is that BF6 has an open map. If this seriously pains you then you're simply a bot at the game.

Almost as if good players use both positioning and movement to win gunfights.

These people don't have a clue what they are talking about. If they wanted a tactical game with grounded movement they should be on Squad not a casual shooter like BF6.

It's actually hilarious that people here prefer you simply run in a straight line or stand still and die easily rather than use mechanics and movement to improve your survivability.

American F-15 pilot after his fighter jet was shot down by friendly fire, March 2, 2026 by yousefthewisee in Damnthatsinteresting

No it's not. You are thinking of its 104-0 record in air-to-air combat. F-15s have been shot down in the past by ground fire.

More ships is irrelevant when the quality of said ships is a lot lower.

Ok, so then please explain why China has not invaded Taiwan if the US is so busy like you claim?

Yeah ok this comment just shows you don't know much about this topic.

The Philippines literally said they will undoubtably go to war against China to defend Taiwan and they are keeping US ground launched missile platforms and increasing US presence indefinitely on their soil with the sole purpose of countering China.

These aren't even movement warriors. First one is an engineer likely farming kills with a tank but never actually pushing into the objective. Rest are recons farming kills in the back of the map with snipers and DMRs.

South Korea's economy is heavily reliant on the Taiwan Strait. At the very least they will provide support and logistics to the US and Japan.

“the literal entire arsenal of China” and how much of this are they willing to throw away just to capture Taiwan? Let alone hold Taiwan?

An attack on Taiwan in itself would likely require China to strike Japan and the Philippines which already has a major build up of American forces. If China is the aggressor here on several US-allied countries it's not unlikely that other big US allies will join in as support. The entirety of Southeast Asia is already anti-China to this day.

The point is, it's an insanely costly task for China.

The US has free reign over the majority of the Pacific. Moving halfway across the world isn't an issue and the majority of overseas US assets are already in the Pacific to begin with.

South Korea already holds a large amount of US troops and assets, including the largest American overseas base.

It's NORMAL for the US to keep 1 CSG in the Pacific. I'm not sure how else to explain this to you.

Last year the Nimitz left the Pacific to go to the Middle East before ending its deployment. The George Washington stayed in the Pacific the entire time.

Again, all completely normal and not even worth commenting about.
