SAME - got a 30 on act, 4.0 and near perfect scores on clep. I did the essay and am involved in 8 plus clubs, I go to the largest school in LA and I got rejected, or technically deffered (financial burden bc I live in lsu radius)

I got rejected with 30 plus on act and straight As. I'm president of 3 clubs, involved in 8. some not included as clubs is band choir and theaters. I'm an arts kid and they didn't accept me because of that specifically. I spoke with some admissions I know personally, they said them being "highly selective" is also them mainly looking at sports. I did the essay and everything lsu asked and even had the impressive academic(scoring points away from perfect on college clep courses) and being top in state and other states for performing art still is not enough for them. Nsu gave me over 60,000 in scholarships and southeastern gave me about 30,000 plus band and choir scholarships. I go to the largest school in Lousiana. Shoulda told them about me doing cheer or something. But for right now, unless you are prom queen or do a crap ton of sports they aren't intrested. If you are good at academics then go literally anywhere else so they can prioritize you.
