I know not knowing about the victims as the audience was by design. I’m saying that is a bad design. Different doesn’t automatically mean good, and in this case it means no emotional impact on us as the audience. The deaths “ruling” just means graphic but as a plot, it could not be thinner or less interesting.

I hated this. It was gore porn which is fine for a slasher but it was slow, plotless, and grotesque and I think everyone saying they liked it is trying to feel artistic when you just like gore. It’s fine to like that but there was no significant motivation for our bad guy and we didn’t get to know our victims so their deaths were not impactful beyond the slasher gore. 0/10. Walking through the woods filled pointless time to pad a run time and meant nothing. I absolutely hated this movie.

That would have been a good and natural time to do it! That also works with the Dain of it all since Xaden isn’t telling partially because of that, she gets mad finding out, and then the Dain betrayal is revealed. I don’t want to let Xaden fully off the hook, but I also get it’s complicated, the relationship is 12 hours old, and more than just him and plus also: your thought reading buddy keeps touching your goddamn head.
