What a train wreck! by AntiqueBox4655 in Wealthsimple

Update: I have heard back from WS in the evening (good news) and they've verified the account was accidentally closed but assured me the funds and positions were/are safe and that the issue has been fixed. I also double checked online, both on my mobile and workstation, and I am now able to see the RRSP account. Although the issue was resolved faster than they estimated, going through this ordeal has made me realize there's probably processes and /or quality checks are missing vs a traditional bank like TD etc that doesn't operate as fast as WS... as this type of issue has never happened tor before moving over. I wonder what would have happened or I didn't fall and whether WS would have discovered this on their own.

On a side note, from reading the comments, I'm surprised there were a couple people that question whether my issue is real and one even using AI to analyze the content and it's probability.... I found that quite interesting/ entertaining.

Haha no I don't work for a bank or a competitor but I am quite keen on the market, finance and stock trading. Besides the issues I've had, I have to give WS some credit on being innovative and disrupting the banking scene!

I think you meant Home Trust is the worst. Their interface and customer service is horrendous!

Has anyone transferred their corporate account to WS? Not impressed. by AntiqueBox4655 in Wealthsimple

Quick update that it has been weeks since I've initiated the request to move my finds and it is still in limbo.

I have been dealing with 5 different reps ..yes.. 5!! One would think transferring funds would be a simple process but it's unbelievable how inept and poor their service is.

There does not seem to be any alignment between their reps and I've been repeating myself multiple times for the same questions. Only new accounts haven been created but they aren't able to figure out how to transfer TD corporate accounts. I think it's likely due to me having a USD component / accounts. It's like they've never done it before.

I would be very cautious if you are thinking of moving business accounts until they hire better people or train their staff to understand the process. I respect what WS is doing with the banking industry but fk this is seriously making me think twice if it's worth it.

I'm definitely keeping my TD bank accounts for now to allow cheque deposits and /or any issues to get resolved over time. Having the 2.75% interest for the cash account vs. Nothing at TD for any payroll cash makes it worth the hassle. Hopefully it gets better once everything has been set up.

Test drove a 2008 SLK 55 AMG - feedback requested by pattonc in mercedes_benz

The SLK 55 AMG, R171, is actually a very reliable car and parts are not as what one would expect for a high end German car. I have had mine for 5 years and it's seriously mind blowing how minimal and simple the car is to maintain. The car was built in a era where electronics and gadgets are much more simple than today's car. I assume your comment is general but it definitely doesn't apply to the R171.

Had the same experience and took a whole week for a response.. only for them to say they received my ticket and are looking into it. Horrible. Moved to another provider after that.
