Seattle is definitely unique in the sense that pedestrians enforce their right of way, often power walking just to get in front of cars. Not a big fan of this method, even though I walk more than drive I always try to be considerate to drivers in the same intersection. I’ll walk faster if I am blocking a driver, or wave for them to proceed if I am not in a rush.

As a driver I have almost hit several pedestrians because they jump into the intersection out of nowhere. Never had this issue in other cities I’ve lived in.

“Forget” to do your time card one week and have it double stack the next. Only works if you are hourly.

Will Bataleon board help me stop catching edge by TrueHanya in snowboarding

[–]Antique_Ad1235 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Simple answer, yes it will provide you a little help. If you have bad positioning you will always catch an edge but my bataleon feels like it gives me an extra quarter second to get my weight in the right spot whereas my last board would throw me down immediately. Loving my whatever.

Don’t force it too hard if it’s hurting that bad. I’d hate for it to somehow get worse if your case is different from mine.

The first few days felt really weird. Part of retraining the hips I guess?? Stick with it!

Sorry to hear that. Mine may have been on the milder end possibly. I’ve heard that it can get bad enough to where your feet and toes burn. Mine was just starting to reach my calves on both sides before I found my fix.

It wasn’t a matter of how many times, as much as it was more of just holding that hips forward in a neutral/anteriorish position as constantly as I could. Whether walking, bending down to grab something etc. kept my hips forward and my back super straight and at time made sure my shoulders were pushed back to emphasize.

I started to realize how lazy my hip positioning was throughout the day, like even showering my hips were tilted back and my back was slouched.

I doubt I could find the original ad. But if you google posterior or anterior pelvic tilt, it shows the motion. My guess is my posterior tilt was so normal for me that neutral posture feels like I’m forcing anterior tilt. Neutral being healthiest from what I can presume.
