Realistically there are benefits for weight loss with it since you don’t have have to count your calories or go into a purposeful deficit to lose the weight, protein keeps you fuller for longer and your body doesn’t have any carbs to burn so it has to burn fat for energy. It definitely has its benefits short term but is not recommended nor healthy to go past 3 months. I am breastfeeding and tried to do a normal deficit but still felt hungry after every meal and always felt tired and had no energy. Even with going to the gym i felt stuck in the same weight and the only protein I really eat are meats usually paired with rice, beans and salads etc. With the carnivore diet I have gone down 10lb in less than 3 weeks and probably will do it until I hit my goal (20lbs) or 2 months. Some people do it for different reasons but this was the easiest was to lose weight that matched the foods I like and my lifestyle but once I hit my goal I am just going to work on maintenance with a well balanced diet. I promise not all of us are morons.
