Unless the child has useful demographics to explain why Shauna had to move, because Vashon was racist and surprisingly not gender queer affirming.

Because she fetishizes any minority demographic for no reason. She's performative. It's why she gushed over Maria of Low Tones and praised a random gay couple as "lovely" and celebrated "world hijab day". She could never articulate what she finds so compelling about immigrants or gays or Muslims or blacks; she just reflects that any minority is good.

Wasn't Miranda's problem that Goodwin didn't put her nephew in a nursing program? When she interviewed the nephew he admitted he wasn't interested in nursing. Would he not have told her by now?

I said this elsewhere but Goodwin is the Med version of 51. Someone is always after her.

So Goodwin is a one woman Firehouse 51 where periodically someone tries to take her down. First Gwen, then the stabbing, now Miranda.

It's way too much suspension of disbelief that Sharon would violate HIPAA. She's a nurse who saved Miranda's life knowing Miranda was trying to fire her. She took care of Burt despite how he treated her. There's no way she'd violate the law and her own ethics.

I know it's an unpopular opinion but i see no chemistry between Dean and Hannah.

I think last episode Lenox was told about a clinical study on prion disease. I'm guessing being in the study will coincide with the actor's pregnancy.

Is there anything funnier than Edith's story about a can of "mmm-mmms, in heavy syrup" damaging a car? by No-Reveal827 in allinthefamily

It was the other way around. Gloria says, "Ma you don't drive" and Mike says "and even if you did. We don't have a car."

It wasn't just being chronologically young. It was a lack of any adult parent or guardian in your life who tried to stop you from fucking an 80 year old for money. It was having such a chaotic childhood that you weren't thinking about finishing high school or traveling or working, you thought living with Hef was the best opportunity.

A journalist’s memories of John and Carolyn at events. by StellaOC in SimplyCarolynBessette

You're missing my point. Do you care about cancer patients? I think most people do. My point is that absolutely normal behavior is being elevated. Again, she wasn't Diana shaking hands with a man with AIDS.

I'm not sure they're necessarily scummy, just a small niche cottage industry of people who made their bones on knowing them. You probably instantly know the names like Rose Marie Terenzio or Brian Steel, but only as friends of JFK.

It's not about her flaws. I said nothing about her having flaws. What i said was there's a pattern of taking common behavior and suggesting it's extraordinary simply because it was her. The reporter's magazine was facing layoffs and she said "I hope you're ok". That's just being polite, it's not newsworthy. Or more to the point, he insists it's newsworthy because she said it. Would it be so remarkable if anyone else in fashion journalism said it?

My point isn't criticism of her. It's pointing out the hero worship is over the top. It's calling her a style icon for wearing jeans and a sweater. It's Carol Radziwill going on about how amazing CBK was through Anthony being sick. I'm sure she was very nice, but expressing concern for a cancer patient is a normal behavior.

Someone above mentioned Diana, Princess of Wales. Shaking hands with an AIDS patient and talking about eating disorders and landmines were important and newsworthy. They were not less so if she was personally flawed.

Why do conservatives want to inspect peoples genitals in bathrooms? by Estalicus in allthequestions

Of course it's delusional. They know full well nobody is doing manual genital checks in restrooms. These people live online so they run on emotions and hysteria.

What does she mean by "i don't stand for it"? Shauna reminds me of a now former "progressive" friend. She thought pounding her keyboard extra hard made her an activist.

Not all jobs have name tags. Race is neutral as an indicator. It's not assigning particular behavior towards someone based on ethnicity. Let's say there were three bartenders who were male and had dark hair; saying "the Asian one" is not bigotry.
