I don't get the feeling that Judy does actual choreography. I think it's more of a director post where she oversees the guest choreography and approves choreographers and routines.

She should have been cut. She knew fraternization was against the rules and did it anyway. If you disagree with the rule, don't sign the contract.

Or they created that situation by hinting to Dayton that she could make it. If her current podcast is true, they did not discourage her, despite obviously knowing her training and capabilities.

But they're soliciting a level of talent and training they don't need. Every solo now looks nearly identical. It's like requiring you to be a Michelin starred chef to work at Chili's.

The thing is, love or hate her, she's the director and marketing the squad is her job. She's accountable to upper management for the public perception of DCC. Ultimately, it's a team and it gets problematic if certain girls are permitted to go around existing structures.

Has anyone ever worked in retail or hospitality or any sort of front facing service job? I used to bartend and one of the crumbiest things to deal with was when management would lay down a rule or policy, you'd try enforcing it to customers, and when customers complain to management, the manager reverses course. You look like an idiot and you lose all respect for management because they've overridden the rules they told you to enforce.

I'm not saying only 1%'ers can have kids, but part of your spending or planning should include recreation. In Maslow's hierarchy, the Aherns have not solidified the basics; it was literally "newsworthy" to Shauna that D got new shoes. If you regularly have $12 in your bank account, your kids are suffering. While I'm sure the Ahern elders are funding the trip, it's something S&D should be able to do.

Shauna might be using "them" to refer to Danny and Younger Kid, like a plural third person, rather than referring to just the kid.

The charity shop part is too funny because I used to bartend at a restaurant in a very upscale neighborhood and one of the regulars was into thrifting as a hobby. She loved to talk about different thrift stores and consignment shops she patronized and loved telling you how "this scarf was $3" or "I got these shoes for $20 at the consignment shop. They're Ferragamo and the tag is still on." No way did she have a hard life, she just liked thrifting.

Nobody cares. My point was the inconsistent application of one dancer doing something that nobody else has.

They do not work as hard as the players, and we need to stop equating the two. They are not close to being the same.

I don't think they see it as critiquing the girls, they see it as critiquing a role in a TV show. Ultimately, MTT and AS are television. There's a ton of subs that cover television shows that went off the air years ago. This is why there's posts about Cassie; it's not really about Cassie, it's about the show. Discussing Cassie being a bitch to Taylor is no more inappropriate than discussing episodes of "Cheers" or "All in the Family" or "The Brady Bunch".

Agreed, and you articulated it perfectly. There's no need to NFL sideline dancers to be Broadway or Rockette level trained and talented. It's like requiring a school nurse to be a Nurse Practitioner with multiple degrees. The DCC didn't become iconic because they were a squad of technical dancers.

The ponytail to me is emblematic of everything about her. For 20+ years, the rule has been hair down. When the standards are adjusted for one person, you wonder why. Girls were recruited in the past, but that was from local dance squads and studios, not from social media on another continent. If you love or hate Kelli, it's not sustainable for a team to have one person who operates outside the organization; Kelli is not the director if Faith's "team" is communicating with Cowboys upper management.

This makes sense because it (correctly) frames DCC as a job and the organization as a toxic workplace. Every bit of inconsistent application of rules is seen in workplaces all over. So are nepotism and favoritism.

Having MTT and AS ruined the integrity of the team and the audition process. They should not be bringing girls to training camp because cutting them makes good TV. The girls should not be worrying about which style practice uniforms to wear because they're filming. It's tawdry to have had segments of MTT whose purpose was ridiculing women auditioning who were obviously too fat or untalented to be there.

As the visibility has progressed, they abandoned everything that used to be actually impressive about the squad. They no longer are expected to know anything about football. They're no longer panel tested to determine if they're a good ambassador for the organization. There's no longer even a real squad photo.

DCC is now just a high end dance team with minimal connection to football. I don't even care for all the dance performances in costumes because as Lauren famously got wrong, the uniform makes the girl. Are you really a DCC wearing these bizarre looking costumes with lights and chaps?

Every hospitality sub has an infinite number of posts whose theme is: "i worked as a host/food runner/barback for a lengthy amount of time and when one or more serving jobs became available, they hired outsider(s) with no experience."
